About this listen

Can you trust your own memories?

Grey dedicated his life to working as a bounty hunter for BeneCorp, seeking out those with special powers who could be a danger to everyone if they are not controlled. But when Grey watches the corporation execute his brother Ashe for betrayal, Grey begins to question everything he thought he knew.

Now Grey and his younger sister are hiding out with a group of Resistance fighters in the sky, waiting for his chance to strike back. But when his past comes back to haunt him, can Grey convince the Resistance to back him up as he attempts to infiltrate and destroy BeneCorp once and for all? And what will he do when the truth comes out?

The shortest amazing story.

The amazing author Starr Z. Davies has does it again, only that this one is so short that it’s very hard to review.
The story is beautiful but I can’t find the words, only that I really enjoyed it especially the remarkable twist at the ending.

Beautiful narration by Marc P. LeVasseur for each of the characters in this creation.

My recommendations !!!

Tragic ending

A great little story. Not as much steampunk theme as I thought there would be but. Great narrator really brought the story and characters to life. A brutal ending and well worth a listen

Great plot, would be better as full length novel

I love Steampunk Novels, and was excited to read this short story.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed with it.
The plot is great, but the story feels disjointed and too much information needed to be crammed into it and I had to listen to it a couple of times to really understand it.
Also steampunk is only briefly indicated within the framework of the story and the action could have been set in any fantasy setting.

I think this would work really well as a full length novel, where the events can be elaborated on, as well as the back stories told in more detail.

The narration by Marc P. LeVasseur is excellent and well matched to the story.

I received this book in audio book format via StoryOrigin from the author and am leaving this review of my own volition.
