Summary
Shadows from the past haunt crime reporter Colin Crampton as he tracks down a killer.
The nightwatchman is found murdered on Brighton's Palace Pier. Colin Crampton thinks the killing is linked to the theft of a film from a What the Butler Saw machine. The saucy movie shows a nude woman bathing. Colin reckons if he can track down the thief, he'll nail the killer. Colin uncovers a 50-year feud between twin sisters, one a screen siren from the days of silent movies, the other the haughty wife of an aristocrat. But Colin's investigation spirals out of control. And his girlfriend Shirley's life is on the line.
