About this listen
In Israel, a man clutching a backpack searches desperately for a boat. In Minnesota, Virgil Flowers gets a message from Lucas Davenport: You're about to get a visitor. It's an Israeli cop, and she's tailing a man who's smuggled out an extraordinary relic - a copper scroll revealing startling details about the man known as King Solomon. Bad men are chasing the relic, and they don't care who's in the way or what they have to do to get it…

Great book
Flowers has a character that's easy to like and makes the whole book relaxed. Sanford cracks it again.

Highly recommended
I have enjoyed all of the Virgil Flowers books written by the excellent John Sandford, and Eric Conger is the perfect narrator.
Few authors, (for me, at least), have the ability to transport me to the scenes he/she paints with words. Mr Sandford achieves this with ease, with both Virgil Flowers and Lucas Davenport, (Prey series.....narrated by Richard Ferrone who could make the phone book sound good).
Story lines are varied and without fail they are gripping, interesting and entertaining.
Virgil is a great character, humourous and wise, determined and valiant.
