Amazing, clever and difficult to put down
Having been an audible member for a good many years this has to be one of the most notable Audible titles. Clever, witty, memorable and yet deeply disquieting at times. Superb narration too.

Wow what a plot !
This book will keep you busy, I was unable to put it down. Absolutely loved the main character. It has plenty of laughing moments and devastating episodes.

Exceptional yet creepy
Had I known that was a psychological thriller I would have never given this book a try, so I’m quite happy I was ignorant of this!
The plot is dark and disturbing but the storytelling allures you into wanting to finish it.
Once you’ve finished reading this book you will hate human kind a little bit more but will have a better understanding of how twisted and unbalanced human nature can be.
The book would benefit from a trigger warning for its disturbing and unsettling subject !

Book should come with warning
It is an excellent book as the story is well written and you care for, or despise, some of the characters. However, there should be a note in the summary that explains the story relates to topics that some may find difficult to read (abduction of a child, rape).
I started the book thinking it was about a quirky character and when I realised what the story was about it was too late to stop listening as I felt compelled to continue to find out what happened.

very odd but interesting
I can honestly say I've never listened to a book like this. The readers were great but the story has so many holes in it that you have to suspend all beliefs to swallow it .I've lived in a small village and you can barely pass wind without half the village knowing about it and trying to keep a secret makes everyone interested to find all out about it. But it was very enjoyable and the end was annoying enough to make it memorable.

We've all met a Sally Diamond, sadly.
You'll need to dig deep to read this fabulous novel, as it's not an easy read. Nugent delves into nature; viruses nurture as you search your soul to understand the lengths people will go to in this damaged world. A good book which will leave you wondering how cruel people can be.

I found Liz Nugent recently and have read all her books so far . Sally Diamond is a brilliant intriguing character and story that unravels and draws you in. Harrowing at times, a book that stays with you long after you have finished it .. Thoroughly recommended …
