Summary

Perfect holiday read
Loved the descriptions and plot, will be going for holiday in Devon in few week time. Would love to visit places described in the book.

How sure are we of how the world is?
Would you listen to Summer at Shell Cottage again? Why?
Yes I defiantly will be listening again. I enjoyed this story so much I really miss the family. Each character is very well drawn. Even the children are full of personality.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I loved so many Characters. Olivia for her personal growth. Harriet for her common sense. Robert I'm not sure why but I understand him. Freya for not copping. And Gloria for being GLORIA
What about Juanita McMahon’s performance did you like?
She is a great reader. Brilliant at characterization whilst not intruding
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
This would make a fantastic film. whilst reading I found myself casting the characters. there is so much going on it would be really good

If only
A lovely life fantasy, if only lifes problems were so easy to solve. Still great entertainment that leaves you with a contented feeling at the end.

Very readable & entertaining

Comfortable, predictable Aga saga
It's fine. Light reading... Trials and travails of family relationships. Nothing challenging, nothing offensive. A reasonable way to pass a few hours.

Nice summer holiday book
What did you like best about Summer at Shell Cottage? What did you like least?
I really didn't think I was going to listen to all of this as didn't really have any interest in any of the characters in the book initially, but the narrator's voice was lovely and I was in a holiday mode so carried on and I'm glad I did. It got a lot better in the second half and while it's not going on my 'wow' list I did enjoy it as a light summer book...
