Comfortable, predictable Aga saga

It's fine. Light reading... Trials and travails of family relationships. Nothing challenging, nothing offensive. A reasonable way to pass a few hours.

Nice summer holiday book

What did you like best about Summer at Shell Cottage? What did you like least?

I really didn't think I was going to listen to all of this as didn't really have any interest in any of the characters in the book initially, but the narrator's voice was lovely and I was in a holiday mode so carried on and I'm glad I did. It got a lot better in the second half and while it's not going on my 'wow' list I did enjoy it as a light summer book...

Enjoyable book, well rounded characters

Didn't quite wow me to start with, wasn't sure if I was going to stick with it, but the descriptions of some "inner demons" and struggles caught my attention -just like listening to some of my own feelings & troubles. Overall a very enjoyable book, I was listening to it whenever I could as the storyline unfolded. Good little listen.

Engrossing

This was not at all my type of book. Can't even remember why I got it. However, I quite enjoyed it, to the point of listening to almost a whole day toward the end. Numerous strands to the whole which came together well.
