Summary

A full-cast dramatisation of Agatha Christie's novel featuring Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot.

Gordon Cloade is killed in a London air raid, and his vast fortune passes to his young wife Rosaleen. Five of his relatives are desperate to get their hands on Cloade's money, and Rosaleen begins to fear for her life. The prospects for the Cloades improve when they discover that Rosaleen had a previous husband who perished mysteriously in Africa.

Then a mysterious stranger appears in the village, saying that he has something to communicate to her, but the following morning he is found dead. Was he, in fact, her husband?

Agatha Christie at her finest!

This was incredible! Am absolutely loving listening to these dramatisations and John Moffett is brilliant as Poirot! I had read this but had forgotten how clever this story was! loved it! Story of intrigue, money, murder and blackmail. What more could you ask for!!

An easy listen

I enjoyed this dramatisation, it made perfect easy listening. It was well performed and pleasing to listen to, but rather like and abridged book it wasn't quite as satisfying as the full unabridged book.

If You Love Your Hercule Poirot You Will Love This

Just like listening to the TV version of Hercule Poirot only this is the radio version with the great John Moffat as Hercule of which John is perfect in the role.

A full professional cast of great actors who pull of this production with aplomb. I like these audio productions so much, I have bought the lot and enjoy having them all in my collection to listen to over & over when ever I like.

If you like Poirot you will love these first class productions. I doubt that we will see the likes of these ever again. Well worth buying.

I love , all things Agatha Christie!

I normally love Listening and the BBC, full cast audio.
However, on looking for something new, I came across this story, as brilliant as the other versions of a Poirot mystery, a version with a twist, in a way that I have not heard before.
This was also a move for me as this would read by a single narrator, the very talented, John Moffat. His , voice, a fourth, very calming but he was able to use his voice with ease, into the different roles of, each character .
After a few chapters of tuning in, I thoroughly enjoyed, John Moffat, narrating , all the different roles.
