Would you entrust your life choices to someone hell-bent on avoiding theirs?
Natasha has everything under control, at least that's what her clients think. As a therapist, she has all the answers but when it comes to her personal life, she seriously needs to start taking her own advice.
Still living with her ex-girlfriend, Natasha's messy love life is made up of dates and one-night stands. After all, why would you commit to one person, when there is an endless stream of people waiting for you to swipe right? Besides, people always leave.
But when Margot arrives on the scene, everything changes. Flailing between mending long broken relationships and starting new ones, Natasha's walking the line between self-actualisation and self-destruction... With denial no longer an option, it is time for Natasha to take control of her own happiness.

An enjoyable listen
I wanted to love this book as much as her first book The Split which I found truly laugh out loud funny. This book was good but it wasn't magical like that first one. I enjoyed Natasha's story, her challenges and her realisations and I thought it was a good easy listen on audiobook but I was spoil with the first book and it's hard to live up to that hype.

Glad I joined this journey!
The author crafts the characters to perfection and the reader breathes vivid life into them. Congrats both!
I was so caught up in the journey, the Voice so authentic. The wounded healer who hung up her hang ups. Such a beautiful sharing of different people maturing and growing into healthy relationships. And exploration of late blossoming sexuality from multiple angles.
Thanks Laura and Tigger.

Something a bit different
I’ve read hundreds of lit-fic books and this was a refreshing change from the norm.
Personally I am bit conflicted with the outcome of the romance element in the story but the personal journey Natasha goes on is interesting, relatable and very funny.
Narrator was great and hit every comedic beat too.

Loved every second of it.
This made me cry (in a good way) and feel (in a great way). It's a hopeful, but realistic, story about a character who was painted so perfectly I feel like I know her. Laura Kay has a phenomenal talent for writing people and relationships with aching familiarity and I love that everyone is just a bit grey. More please more.

Only managed to endure the first fifteen minutes
No psychotherapist has such a completely banal innner monologue, entirely lacking all insight. The appalling reader made the protagonist sound even stupider and angrier than the writer had imagined her but, either way, the utter lack of knowledge re. pscyhotherapy and pscyhotherapists (obviously the writer had attended a day's course 'as research' like her character - and failed to understand it) is painful. Just drivel.
