About this listen

I’m living a double life.

During the day, I help women gain their confidence and look their best.

On the weekends, I encourage women to embrace their sexuality on the darker side of the web.

After all, sex is beauty.

When my older brother’s best friend appears at my family’s cabin the night I’m filming an episode, I’m surprised to see him. It’s been six years since Reed vanished from my life.

After learning where he’s been and why, I offer him an opportunity to start over. Reed is reluctant. He’s on probation, loyal to my brother, and doesn’t want to do anything to jeopardize his freedom.

So we agree that his identity will remain a secret and that my brother will never find out.

Reed and Vanessa

3/3.5 stars - This was my first book by this author and I really wasn't sure what to expect as I haven't looked into many of her books. This book is full of spice and the spice is well written - Vanessa is a cam girl who is withholding that info from her brother and films at her family's cabin. Reed is her brothers best friend who happens be staying at the cabin which Vanessa wasn't aware of and of course she always crushed on him as a kid/teen. The spicy scenes start rather quickly and that is more of the focus vs a storyline or plot. I did get annoyed with Vanessa brother once he discovers their relationship as he acted like it was the ultimate betrayal when he has hooked up with Vanessa's best friend multiple times. If you want a fun listen with great narration and not a lot of plot - this would be a great book to give a try!

Sebastian York and Lidia Dornet were great with their characters and really had me enjoying the story more because of their narration. I do think this is the spiciest book I have listened to with SebYo.

A fun, steamy listen

Vanessa is a beauty influencer and on the side is a secret cam girl. She heads to the cabin she owns with her brother, Noah, to bulk film the cam girl videos to find her brother’s best friend, Reed, is staying there.

Reed is 8 years older than Vanessa and has been in prison for 6 years. He resists Vanessa’s advances but the inevitable happens.

I liked the discussion around sex workers, the sex positivity, that Vanessa checks in on Reed and his boundaries. I also enjoyed the intense chemistry between Vanessa and Reed and the sex scenes. Reed steals the show in this book 🔥

The narrators did a great job and the book flew by.

Captivating forbidden age gap romance

Tell Me What You Want is the forced proximity, forbidden, age gap, brother’s best friend, erotica
romance of Vanessa and Reed.
Vanessa is a beauty influencer by day who uploads hair and make up tutorials on her beauty blog
Blush My Cheeks to her 300k followers and by night she’s a sex positive cam girl. Vanessa films her
cam girl content at her family cabin she and brother Noah share since their parents died from carbon
monoxide poisoning and her brother agreed to be her guardian to stop Vanessa from going into care.
Noah took the guardian role very seriously which caused Vanessa to feel smothered and begin to act
out the older she got; she did find an ally in Noah’s best friend Reed who would always advocate for
her. Vanessa had a huge crush on Reed then one day he just disappeared with Noah saying he left
town leaving her devasted that he didn’t even say goodbye so imagine her surprise when she goes to
the cabin for a weekend of filming and finds Reed there. Unashamed, she tells him why she’d gone to
the cabin alone and tells him what she earns to convince him to join her for couple content. Will
those old feelings come rushing back when she learns why he went “away”? Will she be able to
forgive her brother for his behaviour?
Reed and Noah have been best friends since freshman year if college, they bonded over sports and
when they graduated, they got a small apartment together for their first taste of independence only
when Noah’s parents died and he had to move home to care for thirteen-year-old Vanessa, Reed
moved back home with his Mum. Reed’s mum becomes ill, she develops dementia, and he is her sole
carer. Wondering how he’ll afford medical bills and future care; he joins Noah and a few others as
they form a gang robbing peoples homes. When a home invasion goes wrong and they get caught,
knowing that Noah has Vanessa to care for, Reed takes the fall and after spending six years in prison
he is ready to start his life again. Noah gives him use of his family cabin, a job and a truck to use as a
way of thanking him for what he did and Reed is happy he can take a hot shower, wash his balls in
peace, shave his beard with shaving cream, drink a cold beer, eat a good meal and have sex the first
chance he gets, what he doesn’t expect is for temptation to come stay with him in the form of Noah’s
sister Vanessa and for her to tell him she is not only a cam girl but she has 100k subscribers. Reed is
furious and more so when she offers him the chance to watch her film her content and then to star
alongside her. Will Redd give in to temptation and become a cam star? Will Reed and Noah’s
friendship survive him crossing the line with Vanessa?
The fabulous Sebastian York and Lidia Dornet bring this audiobook to life and make an amazing duo.
Mr York’s performance of ex con Reed who values friendship, puts those he cares about first and
throws caution to the wind was superb. Sebastian’s deep baritone voice is as smooth as a well-aged
whiskey and was perfect to showcase kind, protective, dominant Reed.
Ms Dornet’s portrayal of the successful beauty influencer by day and even more successful sex
positive cam girl by night was marvellous. Lidia’s sweet, honeyed tone was perfect to depict the
sweet and sexy Vanessa.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my debut audiobook by this new to me author. Lucia’s writing style and
Sebastian York’s and Lidia Dornet’s storytelling had me captivated from start to finish.
If you love a forced proximity, forbidden, age-gap, brother’s best friend, erotica romance with a
strong protective hero and a sex positive, body confident heroine then this is the audiobook for you.

Great Spcie, Low on Plot

Tell Me What You Want by Lucia Franco

.
This is a standalone story which follows Vanessa, an early 20s makeup influencer, and her brother's best friend, Reed, who has just been released from prison.

Vanessa is hiding a secret hobby, selling *videos* online. She's incredibly sex positive (which is great), but very demanding. I did get some spoiled rich kid vibes, which isn't surprising from the way her brother Noah treats her.

Reed is supposed to be a really caring and protective character, however I wanted to see more about his relationship with his mum. He was so easily persuaded by Vanessa, and went back on pretty much everything he said.

The spice was excellent, and was probably my favourite thing about this book. There was a lot of chemistry and it made up a good portion of the plot (keeping it hidden, etc.) However, there wasn't much else going on. After Noah discovers the truth, and then calms down again, there was still 20% of the book in which... Nothing happened. There was no jeopardy after this point which felt very anticlimactic.

The narrators were Sebastian York and Lidia Dornet. Both performed well, especially the New York accents from Lidia Dornet. I did feel Sebastian York lacks a little variety in his voices, as he is so distinctive.

Overall, I may listen to other stories by this author, but I won't be running for her back catalogue.

Spicy brother’s best friend romance!

Tell Me What You Want was a fun, brother’s best friend, forbidden, age gap romance and I loved the characters so much. Vanessa was bold and unapologetically herself. Reed’s protectiveness towards Vanessa was adorable! The chemistry between these two was explosive and just so well done. Lucia Franco always delivers on the spice and this brother’s best friend romance was definitely not lacking in spice!

Sebastian York and Lidia Dornet’s performance in this audiobook was chef’s kiss and I could not stop listening to this book!

Reed & Vanessa

This was my first Lucia Franco book so I went in blind.
This audiobook has a lot of schmut, a lot of sexy times but not a lot of character growth or plot.
Another thing this book has in spades is women empowerment and a crackdown on misogynistic views.
Seb Yo as Reed was amazing; Lidia Dornet as Vanessa was incredible.

Spicy Brother’s Best Friend Romance

Going into this, I’d expected some serious spice. I mean, the fmc is a cam girl who runs into her brother’s best friend who just got out of prison and they end up *ahem* collaborating to make some quick cash. And when it comes to spice Lucia Franco always delivers. This book was no different.

But it was also more than that. It was funny and heartfelt, and the chemistry between the two main characters was very clear. Chemistry that was made only more apparent by the narration of Lidia Dornet and Sebastian York.

It’s also got a surprising amount of depth. Friendship and sacrifice are themes throughout. Also, the idea of owning our sexuality, embracing it as much as we embrace other aspects of our personalities. Not shaming others for their liberation.

This is definitely one to get on audio if that’s your thing. I’d listen to Sebastian York read the freaking weather, frankly, and he was as good here as always. And Lidia Dornet did a wonderful job of bringing warmth and humour to her reading.
