Summary

Murdoch’s past has finally come crashing down on him. His former girlfriend. His Family. He’s been happily avoiding them for ages, trying to live something close to a normal life. But now he’s been drawn back into another one of their ludicrous attempts to bring about the end of all things.

Chase has spent the past year just trying to get away. Trying to escape the memories that won’t stop following him, the moment when his life collapsed. He’s traveled around the world trying to stay ahead of it all, but those final moments may be catching up with him at last.

Anne is tired of living in the past. She’s finally looking to the future and embracing her destiny. She’s going to lead the Family forward on their greatest, final crusade to destroy the hated Machine of their long-time adversary.

Their paths will intersect in the middle of nowhere, on an uncharted island where the walls of reality are thin...and an apocalyptic threat is tearing its way through.

A bit if a struggle to get to the end.

Sorry Peter, not your best. Just to be clear, I loved 14, it's one of my all time best books. 5 star all the way. So with another installment, Terminus on the other side of the globe, in an identical building I was imagining great things. But it just didn't have the pazaz of 14 in afraid. I missed the mystery of it all, and the characters were not as believable. I did manage to finish it, but the last 2 hours were a struggle and I had to fight the desire to just send it early. I'll keep it in my library because of its breeding and that's down to you, but if it was any other author I'd be returning it for my credit back.

A perfect end to the series !

The journey these books have taken me on over the series has been fantastic. Terminus has been no exception and was a perfect ending but leaving just enough to the story to continue in your mind.

I don't think you could have chosen a better person to narrate the stories than Ray Porter. His voice modulation and ability to sound like four completely different people in one sequence of events really brought it all to life.

following on from book 14

A way to end the story of what could happen if the squales get lose in the world. but nice to hear character's from book 14 in it, shame there wasn't more.

A bit routine or formulaic...

... compared to earlier stories set in the same universe. Worth a listen. Nice to revisit familiar characters but it didn't manage to set the same level of suspense or unpredictability.

Another enjoyable Threshold romp

Always look forward to these. Ideal background story when I'm working or driving.

It's not going to win the Booker prize but it's a good, workmanlike story that dots the i's and crosses the t's

Very imaginative

This was another great read in Peter Clines epic squail series. Very tentacled indeed. So imaginative with outrageous characters, some of which are not just human. Sort of Island of Doctor Moreau vibes. Terrific narration again as well.

excellent addition to Threshold series.

An excellent addition to Clines Threshold series. Sequel to "14", which I recommend you read / listen to first.

a near perfect read

I bought this book purely because Ray Porter was the narrator (his work on the Bobverse series is fantastic) and I'm so glad I did the story is brilliant really enjoyable, and a great take on a Lovecraft subject. I'll be picking up the rest of the series shortly.
