About this listen

At the peak of his career and success, Ari Meisel nearly killed himself from exhaustion and overwork.

He had to make a choice: He could let his "success" destroy him physically and mentally, or he could find a better way to live. He spent the next few years redesigning his life from scratch.

Ultimately he found the way to reduce his workload by 80 percent while actually increasing results and success. Furthermore, he could spend time on what matters most: his family.

This book describes his method.

Using Meisel's revolutionary Optimize, Automate, Outsource approach, you will learn how to take almost anything you do and make it work smarter instead of harder. Modern methods like the 80/20 rule, the 3 D's, and multiplatform repurposing let you build a high-powered, traditional-style "success factory" that requires only one employee to run.

Less work, more results, more happiness.

good practical guide

I loved the direct approach to the information, not too much stories and bla bla but rather solid info. the last part is the reason for the one star less, I don't believe in automating and outsourcing every single bit of your life and work that you don't love.

Essential for team efficiency

Liked - clear three step process. Able to apply practically straight away.
Didn’t like - aimed at people with lots of money who can afford to outsource everything.

Insights ...

Great insights and points of view, reinforced with good real world examples. Gave it a 3* as opposed to 5 as I cynically took the build up to final Chapter 9 as self promotional advertising for his virtual assistant business. The premise of the book, less is more is underscored by batch processing - and ultimately out sourcing, and low and behold the book uses the book's theme and audience attention to not only speak to the process, but also doubles up as an efficient advert for the authors other business... which is about out sourcing. That is at worst cynical, but there are a lot of good thoughts and attention to valuable and insightful thinking. It's well worth the time and attention to glean useful thinking on how to be more efficient. Would encourage giving it a go, and even though I'm being super critical, I learned a lot, so grateful to author for getting this done. Thank you.

An amazing book!

It feels good to know that someone thinks the same way as I do.
Very good book. You won't regret it. Just keep your mind open. Otherwise you will not learn anything.

Could be better

Ari has published half a good book, seriously the furst half of the book is full of valuable advice...infact to be honest the whole book has valuable advice for those looking to become efficient in their work. The problem however, lays in the sales chapter i.e. the latter half of the book where Ari effective sells his business services.

While I understand the potential/need to build a sales 'funnel', but isn't it enough that we purchased the book in the first place!

Pay attention and you’ll gain

Great quality book which sets out standards and principle that we ‘Know’ of but often ‘forget’ to apply to our own lives. Worth a listen

great advice

This book contains great advice for me, in the near future. Freeing your time, while getting minor tasks done by other methods is important.

Good insights to increase productivity

This book provided some good tips to increase productivity but it is not really suitable for regular people who have distinct working patterns and cannot choose when they would work on the tasks they need do. Nevertheless, the performance of the narrator was pretty good. I recommend it more for people who do have businesses or have the flexibility choose when they work on their tasks. However, for people who have 9-5 jobs or similar there are probably better books out there. But if you want to pass time, you could always listen to this book.
