Gooooood but
I love this and I hate it. Jacks 💔 the only thing I would say about this series is how confusing it is. I may be dim or something, or maybe because I haven’t read caraval it’s confusing, but what with all the riddles and changes in the plot, half the time I had no idea what was going on 😂. Jacks was a heart melter though, and the tension and miscommunication was both heart wrenching and infuriating. Definitely an ending that makes the reader want more. Even if it was a bit of a …. Wtf ?????

what was that ....
be prepared for an ending which leaves you shouting at your phone. how dare she finish it there. Next book is already on preorder. I must stop reading books in a series when the last book is not out. it is torture waiting!

MC is not the smartest cookie
And I’m not even talking about the part where she struggles to hate J (he is just too good at bread-crumbing tbh anyone would fall for that), I’m talking about the fact that she does not seem to stop and think at all at any point (mainly the fact that she’s always surprised people have their own agendas and she expects everyone to be rosydosy so as to not be the ‘villain’ in her story, or on the other hand she forgives something so ridiculous as poisoning someone she cares about). But despite this, the story is told really well. I will look forward to the next book, and the author has become one of my favourites.

The narrator made this story come alive!
Oh my god! This audiobook was amazing! The narrator made this book come alive and deserves so much credit!
Loved the story even more thanks to the brilliant narrating and different voices for different characters. She gave them emotion which really made it come alive.
