I give myself very good advice. Too bad I suck at taking it.
If only Colin and I hadn't drunk so much whiskey, if only I'd kept that red bikini in my suitcase, if only his evil ex-girlfriend hadn't come sniffing around making me feel territorial and protective.
Not that my bad boy rock star best friend is any help. Walking around looking ridiculously sexy, telling me I'm perfect in that panty-melting voice of his when we both swore we’d never do anything to put our friendship at risk. And Colin never breaks a promise.
But then, he has no idea I’ve secretly been in love with him for years.
I guess I should just enjoy the ride, but I can’t stop thinking about what happens with this vacation ends and I head home alone, nursing one hell of a bangover....

A fun story
This was a cute story. It was funny, Suspenseful, and sexy. Not to mention the dirty talk. It was the perfect blend. The suspense and twist and turns were unexpected but pleasantly so. I enjoyed that element to it probably more than anything else. The murderous cat was hilarious.
Colin and Kirby are friends with crazy chemistry. He’s a rockstar and she’s a writer and that combo really worked for me. I loved their dynamic. And when they finally give in to the attraction, holy moly, talk about steaming up and melting a reading/ listening device.
Jason Clarke and Lili Valente we're fantastic. Jason’s deep and growly paired with Lili’s sweet and quirky worked so well and was a joy to listen to. The transition from character to character was smooth and when the POV changed it wasn’t jarring at all. The production had no issues to note.

Unexpectedly Wonderful
Holy Amazingness Batman this book was so much more than I expected! The banter between Collin and Kirby was incredible, and the performances by Lili Valente and Jason Clarke made this audiobook unputdownable (yes i think that is a word!) I have only listened to a few books where the author also narrates and this is by far one of the best! This book started out as a scorching hot friends to lovers story, which I was totally down for, then there was some hilarious ex girlfriend drama, and a cat named Murder who might have been my favorite character in the book, because his commentary was on point (as interpreted through his expressions and Kirby). This book was traveling down a perfectly acceptable rom com road when all of a sudden it made a hard left turn and the suspense was kicked up and I could not turn off the book. I listened way past my bedtime because I had to know what happened! Truly the sign of an epic story! Unique, hilarious, surprising and hot, why aren't you listening to this one yet?

The Bangover by Lili Valente is a sweet and funny best friends to lovers romance. In which best friends Colin a rockstar and Quirby a writer need to getaway and plan an impromptu trip to Vegas.
The story has so many fun music lyrics thrown into their quirky banter and jokes to keep you giggling. But no fear Lili doesn’t forget the romance! There’s a million sweet and swoony moments between Colin and Quirby to go with all the steamy love scenes.
