About this listen

The Black Castle is a fast-moving tale of battle between brothers. One is seen as evil because he is a vampire, while the other is perceived as good because he is a man of God. But the vampire only does what he has to do to survive, while the churchman, an Inquisitor, inflicts pain for the power it confers upon him. Which is the greater evil?

Okayish

The storyline was not captivating enough for me. 1/2 way into the audiobook I was already contemplating if I should continue. The people in it just lack character. Well maybe Delores shows a bit of spark. The vampire is boring. The storyline is just not interesting enough. Though I appreciate that he actually told what happened to the rest of the people in the end even though there are more to the series. So the book is okayish but I don't think I want to listen to the rest of the series.
