Good Story

I thought this second book was good, I like the main character, cause he's a bit older than your regular spy type, what will he do next?

Brain chewing gum

Look it’s put together I like the tortured soul side of the character and yes it’s been done before but who cares good bit of escapism

Good second Ryker

Good second book in the Ryker series. always a lot of double crossing taking place. Going to start the third book.

Another great book from Rob Sinclair

I’ve always really enjoyed Robs books and this is no different. Ryker is a great character that I hope goes on for a long time

A really good read

Having read all the Jack Reacher novels I was looking for something similar but not exact. Having tried a few and being disappointed as my search was doomed as you should never look for a copy but instead look for a replacement. The Ryker character and books follow a larger story rather than standalone stories which I like as you get to know the character quicker. The various book are well thought out and very well written plus, unusually, the narrater adds to the ambiance of the story.
The stories are not predictable either which maintains the susspence. All in all a very good experience, recommend 100%

Would suit an all action fan

Strangely old fashioned, deeply masculine with few and lightly drawn female characters strangely redolent of the writing of the fifties- at least that’s the 1950’s.
I didn’t finish this, it held no interest. I’m glad I used a credit, but am sad I wasted one.

Same old

The only part I found very good was the prison bit.
Otherwise, a bit boring and repetitive.

I stuck with it

I am a fan of the narrator, his delivery is always polished, James Ryker is a clone of so many deep undercover, chip on the shoulder agents, we must bump in to one every time we get on a bus.

Some parts of the book really entertained but it became laboured in the end, I didn't really care "who dun it" but I will read/listen to the next book and hope that is just "second season syndrome"

Couldn't finish it

I couldn't get to the end of this book. The first book,The Red Cobra, was really good so I thought I'd get another. However this is a ridiculous story which seems to consist of violence upon violence and little else. I say story, that's loose. What I liked about the Red Cobra was the strong women in it. This book reverts to using women as sex objects with the occasional prostitute thrown in for good measure. It's quite offensive.
