Summary

Random House presents the audiobook edition of The Bonehunters: The Malazan Book of the Fallen 6 by Steven Erikson, read by Michael Page.

The Seven Cities Rebellion has been crushed. Sha'ik is dead. One last rebel force remains, holed up in the city of Y'Ghatan and under the fanatical command of Leoman of the Flails. The prospect of laying siege to this ancient fortress makes the battle-weary Malaz 14th Army uneasy. For it was here that the Empire's greatest champion, Dassem Ultor, was slain and a tide of Malazan blood spilled. A place of foreboding, its smell is of death. But elsewhere, agents of a far greater conflict have made their opening moves.

The Crippled God has been granted a place in the pantheon, a schism threatens and sides must be chosen. Whatever each god decides, the ground rules have changed, irrevocably, terrifyingly, and the first blood spilled will be in the mortal world. A world in which a host of characters, familiar and new, including Heboric Ghost Hands, the possessed Apsalar, Cutter, once a thief now a killer, the warrior Karsa Orlong and the two ancient wanderers Icarium and Mappo, each searching for such a fate as they might fashion with their own hands, guided by their own will.

If only the gods would leave them alone. But now that knives have been unsheathed, the gods are disinclined to be kind. There shall be war, war in the heavens. And the prize? Nothing less than existence itself...

Here is the stunning new chapter in Steven Erikson's magnificent Malazan Book of the Fallen - hailed as an epic of the imagination and acknowledged as a fantasy classic in the making.

Keep going!

Worth the effort to keep going through this massive epic. More humour in parts that’s balanced out with incredible detail and characters.

I really enjoyed these books so far.
This was the first book in the series that I listened to and I have to say it was perfectly narrated.

Last quarter is worth waiting for

Like most Malazan books, they get better as you reach the end.

Incredible detail and good performances, but some early parts are confusing without a study guide.

2nd sadest moment in malazab

I liked it, suffers somewhat from the usual incomprehensable yet pivotal fight at the end which you end up having to listen to ten times and a few characters who I've done so little in the books that I have no idea who they are but still a great book... ? it's as good any Elric story mine, but the author proves he can do short stories too in the kerbello and broach (?) stories (the healthy dead is great!)

One of the best Malazan books

This was tremendous - a real barnstorming action-packed episode in the malazan series. The relationships between some of the best characters really bloomed and as always there was some awesome unforseen twists and intrigue. Loved it

Top Tier Malazan

Excellent book, I feel this is where the series steps up to another level again. The performance of the narrator is very good, very easy to listen to. Some stand out moments and as others have said the last 10-15% leave you breathless almost. Great
