Summary

Tamara's childhood. With her mother shut away with grief, and her aunt busy tending to her, Tamara is lonely and bored and longs to return to Dublin.

When a travelling library passes through Kilsaney Demesne, Tamara is intrigued. She needs a distraction. Her eyes rest on a mysterious large leather bound tome locked with a gold clasp and padlock. With some help, Tamara finally manages to open the book.

What she discovers within the pages takes her breath away and shakes her world to its core.

Told in Cecelia's imitable style, The Book of Tomorrow is a mesmerising and magical story for this autumn.

Best Ahern Book So Far!

I loved this book. It was so very much better than Cecelia Ahern?s normal stuff, which I find soppy and un-original. This book was edgy, the main character although a teenager was great, you believed her tragic life events and how she dealt with them. Don?t be put off by the idea this book is about a ?Magic book? it has so much more going on and the characters are complex. The story is not predictable like a lot of her other books and I was hooked until the end.

Superb narration of an intriguing story

Intriguing story, superbly narrated. Thanks to the combination of story and narration, I sped through this in a day and it’s definitely one of the better told stories.

Very enjoyable.

It took sometime to adjust to the speed of the narrator but having done so, the story plot got better and better. I struggled initially to get in to the characters but then, after a few chapters, my imagination was caught up and I looked forward to listening.

Narrator too fast

Having read and throughly enjoyed all of Cecelia Ahern’s books, I must say that this book was incredibly tricky to get into. The book is a slower burner which is would normally be fine (the ending is brilliant) but the narrator spoke so quickly that I had to constantly rewind and listen again or slow down the speed which made the experience much less enjoyable.

Disappointing reader pwrformance

The first tile I've listened to a cecelia Ahern book and had to stop almost at the beginning because the narrator is just too quick, it didn't help even if I tried to slow down the pace. A big disappointment. I think I'll have to buy the book and read it myself to finish it. I love Cecelias books, so this review has nothing to do with the story.

Loved it.

I have listened to this book a few times. It's fantastic. The narrator is so easy to listen to.
