Summary

Read by the author.

Best-selling and award-winning author Lee Strobel interviews experts about the evidence for the afterlife and offers credible answers to the most provocative questions about what happens when we die, near-death experiences, heaven, and hell.

We all want to know what awaits us on the other side of death, but is there any reliable evidence that there is life after death? Investigative author Lee Strobel offers a lively and compelling study into one of the most provocative topics of our day.

Through fascinating conversations with respected scholars and experts - a neuroscientist from Cambridge University, a researcher who analyzed a thousand accounts of near-death experiences, and an atheist-turned-Christian-philosopher - Strobel offers compelling reasons for why death is not the end of our existence but a transition to an exciting world to come. Looking at biblical accounts, Strobel unfolds what awaits us after we take our last breath and answers questions like:

  • Is there an afterlife?
  • What is heaven like?
  • How will we spend our time there?
  • And what does it mean to see God face-to-face?

With a balanced approach, Strobel examines the alternative of hell and the logic of damnation and gives a careful look at reincarnation, universalism, the exclusivity claims of Christ, and other issues related to the topic of life after death. With vulnerability, Strobel shares the experience of how he nearly died years ago and how the reality of death can shape our lives and faith.

Follow Strobel on this journey of discovery of the entirely credible, believable, and exhilarating life to come.

Fantastic

I love Lee Strobel's 'Case' books, as they grow my faith and help me to see through the mass of misinformation out there in the global consciousness. The narrator is great too, he really takes care to deliver what the book says in the right tone.

Excellent Book

I was curious to hear what religious people were thinking about Afterlife, and this book acceded my expectation. One of the discussions that stood out for me was the Reincarnation and Christianity, why they two don't go together. This book will challenge your point of view for sure, but this means this is well written book, that gets you thinking and question your beliefs.

A really excellent recourse

I would read 'Case for Christ' and maybe 'Case for Miracles' first, but this is an excellent book and I recommend it for anyone wondering about Heaven

Don’t miss it!

We have so much to look forward to, much of which is laid out in this book. Of course like God himself, there is no 100% proof… But all the evidence points towards this which has been anticipated and looked forward to buy generations a few months before us. Enjoy it, it’s great

A Good Examination of the Tough Questions

One of the most inspiring, convicting, and challenging books I've read as a Christian. It helped me recalibrate my orientation so that I am more Heaven, than earthly, focused. And it gave strong answers to hard questions that I not only found intellectually satisfying but also biblically sound. Thank you Mr. Strobel for your excellent work. I hope God continues to see fit to use your gifts for His glory. When you finally do get to Heaven, I hope the first book God gives you is The Case for a Life Well-Lived.

Yawn

Author Strobel offers no evidence of an afterlife, instead focussing almost exclusively on Christianity as the sole path to salvation. I am a Christian but I find his exclusion of other world faiths offensive. Indeed, he stops just short of ridiculing religions such as Hinduism, noting that we've never seen a "blue-skinned" model of goodness or a saint with multiple arms. He neglects to mention that these visible characteristics are intended as symbols of infinity and the omnipotence of the divine, rather than representations of real people. The entire book is much like listening to the Jesus-Saves proselytizing of a Sunday morning televangelist.

As in nearly all cases of author-narrated books, Strobel should have hired a professional. His
northeastern nasal twang distracts heavily from the narrative while we mentally translate his renditions of various words: bay-uck (back), hay-uv (have), or salad (solid), papular (popular).

Zero stars would provide an accurate representation of my opinion of this book.

Wonderful book!

I highly recommend this book for anyone thinking about the afterlife. It looks at death from all angels and gives them a complete review.

Especially read this book if you are facing death soon!

breathtaking

really a good piece of investigative journalism, thoroughly enjoyed the interviews and how the author remained objective throughout the book.

I do however not understand why so much time was spent on the existance and nature of hell. why dkes it matter? Christians know there is a heaven and a hell, we want to know more about heaven because that is where we are going

Great book!

Great support for the existence of the soul and of the Christian (Biblical) view of Heaven and Hell. Strobel thoroughly refutes reincarnation and universal salvation for all. Jesus claimed to be the only way to God the Father in John 14:6. This book lends great support to that truth. I highly recommend the chapters on Near death experiences, the truth about Hell, and refuting reincarnation.

Fantabulous‼️

For anyone with questions…inquiring minds! Lee Strobel approaches the subject of heaven and other peripheral relevant subjects for seekers. He references many sources, historic and current, exhausting theories and beliefs, and coming to very believable conclusions! Hip Hip Hurray 👏‼️
