Summary

Indulge in the perfect winter's day treat and escape to the snow-fringed fjords of Norway with The Christmas Lights, a delicious tale full of drama and mystery, heartache and hope by Sunday Times best seller Karen Swan.

Bo lives a life most people can only dream of. She and her boyfriend Zac are paid to travel the globe, sharing their adventures with their online followers. And when Zac proposes, Bo's happiness is complete. With Christmas coming up, Bo can't wait to head to the snow-fringed fjords of Norway. Arriving at the picturesque and remote hillside farmhouse that will be their home for the next few weeks, Bo's determined to enjoy a romantic Christmas under the Northern Lights.

Everything should be perfect but the mountains hold secrets from the past and as temperatures plunge and tensions rise, Bo must face up to the fact that a life which looks perfect to the outside world may not be the life she should be living....

Lovely

What a beautiful book brilliantly narrated by Clare Corbett.
I was a bit confused at first with the switching of time but once I got my head round the story I enjoyed it.
Thoroughly recommend

Great Escapism

Such a beautifully written and read story. Claire Corbett is one of my favourite narrators. Her ability to use different voices and accents is amazing.

A brilliant winter listen

Loved it. Very well written. Don’t be put off by the Insta stuff at the beginning. This is anything but shallow. Great narration, excellent voices. Really liked the two interwoven stories. Again too a little while to get into. Fabulous storytelling. Warm enjoyable characters. The descriptions of the scenery were superb. Great ending. Some violence which always disturbs. it didn’t dominate but be warned you might find it triggering. My favourite Karen Swan to date.

Beautiful, brilliant story

Intelligent, captivating story as always from Karen Swan. Intrigue and clever plot lines. Ive gone off novels that flick back between different time periods so was dubious that One of my favourite authors had done this but most of the the move, was set in the present day and small snippets from the past. I thought the book was well balanced.Another five star novel. Can’t wait for her n do one, you don’t evened need to listen to this at christmas. Very well narrated too.

Read all her books!!!

I have given up reading reviews, as I have now realised that no matter what Karen Swan writes about - I’m going to be captivated, and sad when it ends.

So worth the money. I hope she’s abundantly rich.
She brings a lot of joy

Darker story than expected but good

Enjoyed it with the two stories running alongside each other. Good narration too. Makes me want to try more of Karen Swan books

Very slow and predictable

I found it very difficult to really like this book. The story doesn’t seem to unfold until past half of the book... both stories confused me and the Nordic names made it that little extra confusing.
