Great story if you can get past the narration

I really liked this story. It may have been a bit cliched at times but that’s what you expect if you’re into this genre of romance fiction. Elle Kennedy has a great talent for writing characters that you can warm to and Christian Fox did an excellent job at bringing Garrett’s character to life. Unfortunately the same can’t be said for the female narrator. There were times when I thought her narration was going to prove so irritating that I’d have to give up but I hung in til the end. Only just though.

Great listen - highly recommend romance

I love this book!! Listened to it a few times now, I love Hannah and garret, the characters are great apart and together,
I love the way Hannah is written, I really like her, why can’t we be friends?!?
There are some sad sections and some hurdles but it wouldn’t be a good romance good without them eh’
This is my fave book of the series….I could spend way more time with Hannah and Garrett, loved it.

if you're in doubt - buy it is awesome

I was anxious about this audiobook based on the reviews criticising narrators, but after listening to the whole book, I disagree! Christian Fox is doing excellent job, I would even say it is not much as narration as voice acting. He brings Garrett to life. Lorelei is okay, but requires getting used to her slow tempo. As for the book itself, the book is awesome. The story is hilarious, both characters have real chemistry that you can feel as the story progresses.

Surprisingly enjoyable!

I was put off this audiobook by the amount of reviews slating the female narrator, I'm glad I decided to give it a go anyway. Maybe I've just listened to lots of bad narrating but I didn't think she distracted from the story at all, nor put on a performance that could be described as unequal to the male narrator.
The story itself was surprisingly enjoyable, some predictable moments but equally at times you weren't entirely sure which way things were going to go. There were also some humorous parts that had me laughing out loud, so I'd highly recommend giving it a go. I enjoyed this book enough to add the next one to my wish list (admittedly not to purchase just yet), so I'd advise giving it a go if you've listened to the sample or are interested in the synopsis.

Amazing!!

I’ve read this book countless times and thought I’d give the audiobook a try and god am I glad I did!! Christian fox is just absolutely perfect for Garret!!!!!!!

Enjoyed it way more than anticipated

OK so I've never read/listened to a "sport romance" novel in my life, so this was completely new territory for me... However I can honestly (and unashamedly) say that I really enjoyed this! Sure, it's got a classic plot that's been through the mill a few times: girl who aces a particular class tutors a jock, so he can still play sports, mutual attraction blooms , yadda yadda you get the picture, but it's executed really well and you can feel the chemistry of the two main characters whilst observing their thoughts from their points of view.
I will say I found the female narrator's voice to be a bit slow and drawly, but if you speed up the tempo to 1.15 or 1.20 it's a lot easier to listen to without disrupting the male narration too much 😉

Loved this book!

I really enjoyed this book and loved the story. I think next time I will read the book myself rather than listen as for some reason the women narrating Hannah’s voice really grated on me, that’s just personal opinion and shouldn’t put anyone off listening though!

Christian Fox the narrator makes you love Garett

Christian Fox is the best male narrator I have read a book by. I read the other books and they aren’t as good as the first one in terms of narration.

Garett is the dream guy! Would highly recommend!

Enjoyable story

I really enjoyed the plot of the story and the
backgrounds to both the characters.
The banter between them both was great and for me really spoke to what a college relationship would be like.
The male narrator really carried the performance, he brought Garret to life, the female narration for me totally missed, this may just be me personally but the voice did not match the character in my opinion. As its the same female narrator for book 2, I think I will be given that one a miss.
