About this listen
Embry Ellis is a gay Omega Wolf with a stutter. Taunted for these reasons, he hides in his books, finding the stories to be his only way of escape. Even though he shies away from others, he's always longed for a mate to love and protect him. Angus MacNair is a six-foot-seven Dragon Guardian who's always been in the role of protecting his family. He hates bullies with a passion. At just over a thousand years old, he wishes he could find his Heart—someone to love and cherish. Tom Spencer, reprimanded for bullying Embry, won't stop until he has his revenge against the omega wolf that caused him to lose his status. Can Angus protect his heart and fulfill his duty to the king? Will Embry accept his mountain of a fated mate? Will Tom exact the revenge he's desperate for?

Enjoyed it
Poor Embry had a rough time before he got his HEA. Angus was amazing; he cherished and protected Embry.
Another great book in the series!

Great addition
Another great addition to an addictive series by CK Noel. Was glad to revisit the world and get to know Angus and Embry better. Aaron Ross did a nice job with the narration.

Opposites attract
You have to love a story where one of the main characters is a bookworm who escapes from his untenable situation into his books, and Embry is such a lovely character your heart will break at the abuse he suffers from the bullies in the pack. That is, until he meets Angus, his fated mate. These two are total opposites, physically, but inside they are the perfect loving match each has been seeking. That turns out to be a bad thing for Embry's bullies in a very satisfying way. Aaron Ross captures the emotional tones in the story perfectly from Embry's pain at his abuse to Angus' protective instincts and the care they have for each other.

Short, sweet, and a touch of steam
I enjoyed Embry and Angus's romance, but I definitely should have read this series in order. I have a feeling that a lot of the name dropping and unexplained plot points would have made a lot more sense if I understood what came before. Without that context, the romance was what captured my attention the most, and I was happy with how sweet and steamy it turned out. Angus and Embry didn't have a ton of time to get to know each other, but the little they did have convinced me they would protect and care for each other above all else. I enjoyed getting to know the supporting characters and thought the ending was appropriately satisfying while still leaving plenty unanswered for the next book in this series.

When you find your mate
Like Angus McNair, I hate bullies. I loathed Tom and his bullying of Embry. And when it got out of hand, I was distressed. I had great empathy for the little Omega wolf. That he stuttered and preferred books? Made me love him all the more.
Angus scents his mate, but his king asks him to complete an important task, so he’s forced away before he can even speak to Embry. But he vows to return and to claim his mate. But things aren’t so simple. His mission goes sideways and then Embry is viciously attacked. Of course I wondered if Angus could somehow fix the mess. He does, and I got to meet other members of the MacNair clan whom I’ve encountered before in other books.
I loved the tenderness between the two men and, of course, I loved my happy ending. Almost made me want a dragon shifter to come slay all my foes (of which there are, admittedly, few).
Enjoyed the story, adored Aaron Ross’s narration, can’t wait for the next book.

Another great instalment
The third book in the series, and I love these audiobooks.
We have Dragons and Wolves, fated mates and HEA, with a whole lot of drama and bullying in between. It is a good story that starts with bullying and violence because Embry Ellis is a gay omega and small enough that two other wolves thought they could bully and hurt Embry. That was before his fated mate hunted him and found him. Things then needed to change.
Good narration from Aaron Ross, but I did speed up on Audible, which is usual for me, but clear and concise. I will be looking for the next book in the series.

A sweet omega and his dragon 🐉
Embry is an omega wolf, gay and shy. Also bullied by alphas. He thinks he will never be happy but a powerful dragon comes his way. He will be his protector. I loved the story and it has enough action to make it exciting. Angus is an protective alpha dragon who just found his mate. The world is interesting with wolves and dragons building alliances. Enjoyable listen!

Wonderful Story, Great Job by the Narrator!
I had no idea this was the third book in the series when I listened to C.K. Noel’s The Dragon Guardian’s Angel. So clearly you can enjoy this book as a standalone.
C.K. Noel builds an amazing world in The High Garden Dragons series. I love opposites attract, and when the shy Embry meets the dommy Angus, my heart was lost! A truly perfect pairing.
Beautifully narrated by Aaron Ross, who appears to have a thousand different voices. With a unique accent for every character, his warm and appealing voice is a pleasure to listen to. I’m looking forward to hearing more from this talented narrator!
