About this listen
A lonely, 4,000-year-old dragon discovers his fated mate.... Too bad his mate is engaged to a woman.
The endless stream of lovers dragon lord Matías Tilly parades through his life hasn't helped him feel less alone. Finding his fated mate should help him escape his loneliness. At least, that's how it's supposed to work. Unluckily for Matías, his mate's happily engaged to be married...to a lovely woman.
Ryan Hall has always sought his father's approval; every decision in his life stems from him trying to be good enough. The validation he craves never materialized. It has, however, led to an engagement to his best friend. Except...they're both gay.
When the two meet, Matías must face that his heart is bound to another. Ryan must struggle with the thought that being true to himself might cost him everything. Oh, and Ryan doesn't know that Matías is a dragon shifter, so that's going to be a surprise.

Fate Intervenes again.
MM, Fated Mates, Mpreg, Paranormal, Contemporary, Romance. The eighth book in the series, it can be listened to as a stand-alone but I feel it's l best when listened to in series order. A story full of drama, action, angst and heat. An enjoyable addition to the series. Guaranteed HEA.

Well Done Opposites Attract Romance
I've read several of the books in C.K. Noel's High Garden Dragons series, and I think they stand alone just fine.
The focus of The Dragon Lord's Love is on Matías and Ryan's relationship. There's family drama, coming out, fated mates, and a big case of opposites attract. I enjoyed the strong characters C.K. Noel writes.
The audio version is nicely performed by Aaron Ross. This narrator has a vast array of voices and does a great job of fitting them with the characters' personalities.

When your fated mate belongs to another
I’m enjoying this series and was happy to pick up the next instalment. This book finds Lord Matias, a 4000-year-old dragon, languishing. He’s had plenty of lovers, but has yet to meet his fated mate. Then one night he goes to a bar and meets the man. Just one problem – the mate is engaged to a woman.
Matias is willing to walk away, but Ryan doesn’t fade from his life. Instead, they meet up again and soon they’re enjoying the pleasure of each other’s company. Ryan admits he’s engaged to his best friend – a lesbian – to make their families happy. But it’s never enough and soon things start falling apart.
Ryan has to choose between the man he’s fallen in love with and appeasing his family. Oh, and if he chooses Matias, he isn’t just letting his family know he’s gay. There’s the whole dragon shifter thing…
I enjoyed the story very much, as I have all of the books. And Aaron Ross’s great narration added to my enjoyment. I can’t wait for the next instalment.

Families of all kinds
Ryan and Matias are fated mates with some big hurdles to overcome, especially Ryan's engagement and his attempts to always please his family. Fortunately, the engagement is to a lifelong friend with secrets of her own and as the pregnancy storyline kicks in, Ryan's family get in gear with grandparent mode. Aaron Ross does a wonderful job with all these characters.

The Dragon Lord’s Love
This was an enjoyable listen. I liked the story and thought they were a great couple. There was a lot of misunderstanding and not always enough information. The narration was done pretty well.

Have loved this series.
Such a great series.
I recommend starting on book one and working your way through them as the story continues with each book/audio. Not stand-alone.
Maria's is a dragon lord and has given up trying to find his fated mate. Wanting to give up and walk away from everything.
That was before a brief meeting with Ryan, only Ryan was there with his fiancee.
This is a great story, full of ups and downs. Delayed mating,
Great reading, keeping you riveted throughout the book. Highly recommend.
I going to miss this series and the characters. I hope there's a spin off series.
Good narration from Aaron Ross, but I did speed up on Audible, which is usual for me, but clear and concise. I will be looking for the next book in the series.

A great additon to the series
I really like this series and I am always surprised by the new ideas.
Who would have thought that behind a Twink hides a powerful dragon? Mathias is a very likeable protagonist. He met his fated mate in a bar, but Ryan is planning his wedding right now. It was very heartbreaking how Mathias retreated as a result, sad and confused.
I loved the sizzling chemistry that exists between the two. Ryan tries to do the right thing, but he can't forget Mathias either.
It was nice to meet some characters from the previous volumes again.
Things get really exciting towards the end and the preview for the next volume sounds very interesting.
Aaron Ross did a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life. I enjoyed listening to him as he chose the voices for the protagonists well and he potrayed the emotions well

4.5 stars for both the story and the narration
Beth and Sara are together and Ryan is Sara's best friend. Saras brother was trying to force her to marry a sleazy guy named Jason. Not to mention their families would disown them if they found out their true selves. So they decide to marry each other for show.
Matias waited 4 thousand years to find his fated mate and is devastated to find that his fated mate is marrying someone else. Not knowing the details he decides to walk away. He didn't want to break up a couple in love.
This is a new to me narrator and I think they did a really good job. Their voice was pleasant to listen to and they kept a good pace. I didn't need to adjust the speed very much. They expressed all the emotions really well. There wasn't a whole lot of difference in his tone of voice for the 2 MCs but he did do more of an accent for Matias so it was easy to follow who was speaking and he did do some of the side characters voices such as the women and it made for a really enjoyable listen.
