Summary

The Epic of Gilgamesh and the Goddess Ishtar

An introduction by Morris Jastrow. Narrated by Denis Daly.

The story of the adventures of the mythical hero Gilgamesh is the most considerable literary production that has come down to us from ancient Babylonia. Unfortunately, it was not preserved in complete form. This recording is of the fullest translation which had yet been issued in English when it was first published in 1917.

it's just a bloke talking about gilgamesh

it's just a bloke talking about a 1917 gilgamesh and he doesn't seem to enlighten me. if gilgamesh is such an epic what's going on. is it all just missing and that's it? or did the gods really kick the shit?
