Two exes. One wedding.

What could go wrong?

Georgia Woodward and Eli Mora broke up five years ago so they’re definitely over each other… right?

When they’re thrown together at their best friend’s wedding, sparks fly – quite literally when the venue burns down a week before the big day. Now, it’s up to Georgia and Eli to get everything back on track.

As they rush to put on the perfect wedding, old feelings start to resurface. And now there’s only one bed…

Jumping back in is terrifying, but this time will love be worth the risk?

Infinite stars

I thought I just outright hated second chance romances, but it turns out I was reading the wrong ones.

The Ex Vows was a beautifully written story about exes and former best friends, Eli and Georgia, finding their way back to each other after five years of being apart.

I loved this book with my whole heart and I purposely tried to slow myself down in reading it so I could enjoy it to the fullest extent possible. This wasn’t just a romance book, it was also a book about two people finding themselves and understanding themselves better in an effort to improve themselves in their late 20s. I related to so many aspects of Eli and Georgia’s own personal journeys and I think that made the book and the story come to life even more.

The audiobook was also beautiful. Kyla Garcia did an incredible job making both Eli and Georgia come to life despite this being a single narration style audiobook. Her craft of portraying the right emotions made the book 10 times more heartfelt for me and I found myself crying a lot.
