Summary

Books 1, 2, and the prequel novella of the Fate's Forsaken series. The series follows the adventures of Kael: a young man who is thrust from his home in the Unforgivable Mountains and onto a hero's path. The journey is long, the battles are fierce - nearly all of his companions are outlaws. And Kael's rotten bad luck seems to make everything worse. This is his story.

GOOD BOOK

I have over 300 audible titles and I have to say that the narration and performance of this book is one of the best I've heard. It's a compelling universe with a great story and awesome characters. I can't wait for a sequel.

A good listen

Excellent story but the prequel is a little confusing and it is not obvious how it links to the main stories. However a good listen and I would recommend it

Love this series

Would you consider the audio edition of The Fate's Forsaken Omnibus to be better than the print version?

I haven't 'read' this book but I thoroughly enjoyed the telling of it. The narrator was fabulous and I have no hesitation recommending this audio edition but i don't think anyone can justifiably say audio is better than print so I'm not going to.

What other book might you compare The Fate's Forsaken Omnibus to, and why?

If I had to I guess it might be David Edding's series as they also have gentle stories with love and adventure

Have you listened to any of Derek Perkins’s other performances? How does this one compare?

No, but I will be look for other books he has narrated

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Epic battles for blood and love

Second book not worth the listen

Story for the second book is very bad, seems like nothing happens the whole time because everyone is too scared to do anything.

It’s disappointing when the first book was better

Hooked!

What did you like most about The Fate's Forsaken Omnibus?

Gripping story, very well written and thought out

What did you like best about this story?

The world the book is set in has clearly been well thought out, unlike a few books which seem to add new places as it goes along there is reference to many islands and continents throughout.

What does Derek Perkins bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Very good actor and easy to differentiate between characters.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Unusually attached to the characters! The way they have been written and acted out makes them feel very alive to me and do find myself smiling at accomplishments and finding more time in the day to hear the end of situations.

Any additional comments?

Very glad I gave this a chance, easily becoming my new favourite listen!
