Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

When DC Rawls decided to take some time off work for his mental health, he thought he would need just a few days.

However, it's been months since that terrible night, and Rawls still hasn't returned to the Somerset Police Dept. He can't seem to shake the feeling that he might never be the same again.

But when a schoolgirl disappears and the police link her case to the disappearances of three other girls in Bath, it sends the media into a frenzy that places Rawls and his team at the heart of the storm.

Rawls isn't sure that he's ready to work on a case that hits so close to home, but he knows he can't have any more blood on his hands. He has to find out the truth before it's too late.

Who is behind these abductions?

And which girl will be taken next?

Great Book and Narration

Loved this book and the narration. There were problems with the recording however, chapter 3 and Chapter 15 jumped ahead. I had to read those on kindle.

Gripping storyline with a cast of characters that I will continue to think about

I loved getting to know the cast of characters, as well as getting to know the location of Bath through this fantastic storytelling and narration. At first the story draws you in to the main character of Rawls and then you find yourself feeling sad for the families as the history of the case is revealed, towards the end it’s definitely one you can’t turn off as you race ahead with the action wanting to find out what will happen and to see who is responsible for the disappearances. Often i find I am devouring an audio book and suddenly I become uninterested about half through so it’s always good when an author can turn up the tension and keep you enthralled. I can’t wait for more from this author!
