A languid transcendentalist meditation

A tender, short, and sweet, and very sexy love story transcending species barriers and the life-spans of protagonists - just a blink in our life - just long enough to find hankies to wipe away tears of tenderness

Don't get excited

At times I found it hard to understand some of this story, probably because I am somewhat hard of hearing.
At first the plot seems to lead nowhere, just as flimsily based relationships are likely to do. But instead, in the last sentence, comes a subtle and satisfying twist.
