About this listen

Taya is almost there. Join her in this real life fairytale, set in the small town of Silver Creek, as she plans to start a new life by opening a little restaurant. Only to find a few rude people that don't seem to welcome her. But that doesn't seem to bother Felix Frogg, a local police officer, and the love-at-first-sight reactions he keeps tossing her way. If Taya isn't careful with the way her heart is softening towards Felix, she could be walking into a lifetime commitment of happily ever after that wasn't in her plans.

Fairy tale quirky and fun!

Quick and easy to listen to, this book is the third in the series. While each story is stand-alone, the books feature characters from earlier in the series. As such, it makes the stories more interesting if they are read in order.

Silver Creek is a somewhat magical small town where the inhabitants can fall in love instantly, despite their best intentions. Taya and Felix's story doesn't actually resemble the original fairy tale but it is still sweet. It is a soft, romantic story about falling in love and finding home. Like the original fairy tales, the good characters are almost too good to be true. No thinking is required on the part of the reader/listener. This book is just old fashioned, feel-good entertainment and escapism.

Angie Hickman has a lyrical quality to her narration that works well with this genre.
