About this listen
Don't all kids think there's a haunted house in their neighbourhood? Can you remember yours? What if, as a child, you knew something bad really had happened in that house? What if you actually saw it? Then you tried to forget it for the next 30 years. And then, one day, you had to go back inside that house?
Andrew Pyper's The Guardians is a ghost story for grown-ups. Prepare to enter the Thurman House on Caledonia Street. You have been warned....

If you like your drama dark and scary.......
Where does The Guardians rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is one of the darkest things I have listened to. Ten out of ten for suspense. Thoroughly gripping.

Perhaps not as great as Stephen King but pretty close
the author has been compared to Stephen King and this certainly is pretty good. a compelling coming of age horror that is brilliantly narrated. Will be listening to more by this author.

Dreary
I'm sorry to say I found this book slow and dreary, if it is meant to scare, it doesn't. I barely made it to the end. The most exciting part was knowing I had finished it and could move on to my next book.
