The Heart Sutra, originally a very short set of verses, was given in privacy as a message to one of Buddha's close disciples, Sariputra, specifically addressed to him. Over time the Heart Sutra became one of Buddhism's core teachings.
In these 10 talks, Osho presents the powerful message of these ancient words and brings them to a modern audience - one with different minds and needs than the original audiences of Buddha more than 2,500 years ago. Osho's message is not about Buddha the historical figure; instead he addresses his listeners and encourages them to discover their own inner realities, their own buddhahood. Like Buddha's, Osho's message is about meditation and meditation alone - "rely only on your meditation and nothing else".
Osho also speaks on the seven chakras, the energy centers of the human body, and their corresponding relationships to the physical, psychosomatic, psychological, psychospiritual, spiritual, spiritual-transcendental, and transcendental aspects of human growth and consciousness.

Masterpiece by a master
So comforting and thoughtful a teacher . Now looking forward to hearing the other Sutras to help heighten and enlighten the student’s spirit

Amazing
No words could ever make you understand. Download Osho and FEEL the beauty of the truth found in the silences in between his talks. He does them pn purpose, as he knows the truth is only worth contemplating if it can be FELT and SEEN by those listening, otherwise it simply becomes cheap, borrowed knowledge. Download and see for yourself.

Confused and mostly nonsense
I've read a few beginners Buddhism books and have heard about The Heart Sutra only in passing. I have no idea what I just listened to, but I am certain it had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with The Heart Sutra, or 'becoming a buddha through meditation'.
Osho talks so slowly and leaves massive pauses, as though what he's saying is so profound the average person will need time to understand it, A few minutes in I had to adjust the play speed to 1.25 to get it up to what sounded like a normal rate of speech. I didn't mind that though to be honest because it cut four hours off the playing time. I found the pauses rather telling that he was in fact thinking up the next bit of nonsense to try and impress his easily lead crowd with. I got the feeling that he was taking advantage of people to be honest!
After the first chapter, I thought, okay, perhaps this Osho guy is just taking a bit of liberty and giving a kind of Introduction, so I gave it the benefit of the doubt and kept listening. Unfortunately the other chapters are also just confused ramblings of a seemingly self styled "guru". He goes from talking about Buddhism, to God, to Hinduism, to Enlightenment as though he has come up with some kind of religion that combines everything while being 'better' than any of them. I might have only a basic understanding of Buddhism, but I'm pretty sure Buddhism rejects both the concept of a Soul and a God, yet he would say something along the lines of 'the Buddha taught' and then a few breathes later be talking about a soul and the Christian concept of heaven, very odd.
I wasn't surprised to learn when I googled Osho that he was involved in a mass poisoning attack and an aborted assassination plot to murder a U.S. Attorney, among other crimes, which saw him being deported from the US and barred from entering 21 Countries.
In short, Osho seems be a snake-oil salesman, creating some kind of cult like organization by selling new age nonsense to those who don't know any better. Avoid!
