Summary
From the Sunday Times bestselling author of The Other Passenger and Our House – now a major ITV series – comes a nail-biting story about a mother’s obsession with revenge.
‘I didn’t read The Heights, I inhaled it’ LISA JEWELL
Ellen Saint is just your average mum. Devoted to her family, she’s no different from any other mother who wants the best for her kids. But when her teenage son Lucas brings a new friend home, cracks start to appear in Ellen’s perfect family life.
Kieran Watts isn’t like Lucas. He’s rude, obnoxious and reckless, and Ellen can only watch in despair as her son falls deeper under his influence.
Then Ellen’s whole world implodes and she embarks on an obsessive need to get revenge.
There is nothing you won’t do for your children – even murder . . .
'Compelling, unexpected and beautifully written' JANE FALLON
‘Tense, provocative and devastatingly powerful’ TM LOGAN
'There’s nothing quite so chilling as the roar of mother tiger love. Louise Candlish had my heart in my throat. Dizzily dark. Dangerous. Deadly' JANE CORRY
'The Heights has everything you could possibly wish for – tragedy, obsession, revenge and, yes, love. Another finely-crafted masterpiece from Louise Candlish' BA PARIS

I took awhile to get into the story, then couldn't put the book down. Narrators were excellent.

Stunning
This has been the best audio books ever. I’ve not been able to put it down. It’s made me cry in places, feel empathy in others. Beautifully written and narrated. 6/5 stars. I never thought our house would top anything written by Louise Candlish but I’m happy to be proven wrong

Superb
A bit of a slow starter but grows into a truly absorbing listen. Ellen is well drawn and relatable even though she’s a flawed and unique character. I would highly recommend this to thriller fans, particularly parents of teenagers.

Gripping!
After enjoying 'The Other Passenger' so much on Audible, I wondered if Louise Candlish's next book would be able to match it. However, I was not disappointed. This one was so addictive that I couldn't stop listening. The Narrators were all very good and allowed the characters to come to life. This audible really kept you guessing right till the end. It was not predictable at all.And even though the story content was tragic, there were still moments of mirth in the dynamics of Ellen's relationship with her ex. The setting for the plot, location wise ,was also a plus as it is a great part of London. I cannot wait until another book is written.
