Did Ye Hear Mammy Died? is Seamas O'Reilly's memoir of growing up as one of 11 children in rural Northern Ireland in the 1990s after the death of their mother when Seamas was five. He delves into his family - his pleasingly eccentric, reticent but deeply loving father; his rambunctious siblings, intent on enforcing a byzantine age-based hierarchy; and the numerous bewildering friends, relations and neighbours who blew in and out to 'help'.

Things are finally looking up for Anna. Fourteen miserable years of marriage to man-child Connor have left her drained and ready for a new start. Story
Graham Norton's masterful debut is an intelligently crafted story of love, secrets and loss. The remote Irish village of Duneen has known little drama, and yet its inhabitants are troubled. Sergeant PJ Collins hasn't always been this overweight; mother of two Brid Riordan hasn't always been an alcoholic; and elegant Evelyn Ross hasn't always felt that her life was a total waste.

Delphine has worked hard for her success, and she knows she's got everything she wants. But not everyone agrees. Story
The mystery of Elizabeth Keane's father is one that has never been solved by the people of Buncarragh - not for lack of speculation. Her mother, Patricia, had been assumed a spinster until she began dating a mysterious man from out of town and within months had left Buncarragh and had married. Less than two years later, Patricia was back, with a new baby in her arms but no new husband by her side and unbendingly silent about her recent past. A secret she would take with her to her grave.

Summary
Penguin presents the audiobook edition of The Importance of Being Aisling by Emer McLysaght and Sarah Breen, read by Amy McAllister.
Meet Aisling.
She's a country girl learning to love the city sophistication of unlimited Pinot Greej and brunch, though smashed avocado still mystifies her. She can plan anything, from Secret Santa for her ungrateful colleagues to a hen party for not one but two brides.
But even Aisling is thrown off course when her job and relationship suddenly go up in smoke.
Life in the city was supposed to be glamorous and grown-up, but all at once she's heading home to live with her mother. (Not without a detour to Vegas first - she's unemployed and single, not dead.)
But between making new friends and rivals, and finding her eye caught by a very handsome but very unavailable new man, going home is full of surprises. Could small town life actually hold the answers Aisling is missing?
Critic reviews

Lovely light, well written tale!
I found this book to be very enjoyable. It’s light, higher quality than usual chic lit. The perfect palate cleanser between my usual dark crime fiction. The characters are well drawn and likeable. The narration is excellent, quite flawless.

Almost as good as the first one
I loved the first book Oh my God, What a complete Aisling because, while of course it was a tiny tad exaggerated to make it funnier, it really was such an authentic experience of a 25-30 something young professional female in Ireland. Made me yearn to rent a flat in Rathmines again, LOL. I like this one a little less because while it is still funny and adorable, it is much less believable and more made up drama. E.g. the windfall etc. dramatic events much less realistic than the previous book's break up with boyfriend etc. I preferred it when the events followed more an ordinary person's life, that's what appealed to me as that has plenty of interest too. Still a great book, had some great laughs, great turns of phrase, and by far one of the best narrators I have ever heard. Can't wait to get the next instalment as soon as it comes out.

Oh Aisling!
OMG .... There is a little /a lot of Aisling’s characteristics & quirks in every country Irish girl; we can all identify with her. Let’s be honest, though; this book is all about Aisling! She has developed with us, grown with us and matured with us.
She is our friend, our mammy, our country girl colleague and our notions Dublin housemate. She is a genuine reflection of the modern Irish woman, and we love her.
Can’t wait for the film!!!
