About this listen
Assisted by Luv Lass a young newlywed named Darcey Teller seeks to identify and to bring to justice her murdered husband's killers. Using Darcey's expertise as a photographer, the two unlikely heroines devise a machination they refer to as "The Kill Shot" as a means of accomplishing this deadly task. But first they must do battle with each other, with their own social differences and with Darcey's desire for vengeance over justice, before ultimately battling it out with the bad men. Just who is saving whom and from what? That is a question that you will ponder frequently as the story unfolds.

Superb entertainment!
What made the experience of listening to The Kill Shot the most enjoyable?
The plot, plus short-ish chapters.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Darcy. Emotions constantly torn, intelligent, talented, probably beautiful.
What does Craig Hensley bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
American accents, authencicity to the commentary.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I was moved by some of the events and although the plot and characters were predictable at times, the ending was excellent.
Any additional comments?
An original and exciting story, a great cowboy story.

A Western With A Difference.
This is a very enjoyable short novel. We are in the wild west, with all the lawlessness that entails and quickly witness to two murders by ruthless robbers. Two wonderfully portrayed women emerge to seek justice. A well written and nicely narrated story with many twists and turns to keep the listener hooked.

A Great Western
What did you like most about The Kill Shot?
This was the first western I've ever listened to and a break from my usual reading and listening material.
What did you like best about this story?
The story moved quickly and there's a great twist at the end of the book, I can't say more about the end without ruining it.
What about Craig Hensley’s performance did you like?
He had a good range of voices and he brought the characters personalities through.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
The book was a bit to long to listen to in one sitting for me, but it did help make 2 gym sessions and a 10k run fun.
Any additional comments?
I'd definitely give another one of the authors books a listen to if anymore become available on Audible.

'Killer' second book from Tony Gavin
What made the experience of listening to The Kill Shot the most enjoyable?
Having read Tony Gavin's first book, Wooden Star, I was looking forward to reading this. His style has improved immensely from last time, the characters seemed a lot more real. I got completely lost in this book it was so enjoyable.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I know shouldn't like them, but both Rick and Jake get my vote. Nasty pieces of work from the start. They both come across as being totally ruthless and uncompromising and not having an emotional or remorseful bone in their body. I've always harboured a slight desire to play the really bad guy in a film and both these fit the bill.
Have you listened to any of Craig Hensley’s other performances? How does this one compare?
Not listened to any others yet but I intend to
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
No, I just enjoyed the whole book from start to finish.
Any additional comments?
Second superb book from this up and coming author. The Kill Shot is a good step up from his last book, Wooden Star, much grittier and totally gripping. I look forward to (hopefully) more books from Mr Gavin. I'm not normally a fan of Western fiction, but hats off to him, I'm totally converted after reading this.

The Kill Shot
This is a fresh take on the Western genre, with great character development that makes the audio book listener care about the people and what is happening to them.
