Pretty Darn Good!
Was up until the small hours listening to this and really loved it
Kept me guessing until about half way and thought I had cracked it although a great twist right at the end
Narrator wasn't overly amazing at the characters but I have heard worse
I would recommend this book

Suspense at its best
Fantastic read. Suspense right till the end. Didn't see the ending coming. Loved it.

Excellent read!
Really, really enjoyed this book and looked forwarded to listening to it each day on my doggie walks.
I liked the narrator but I had to speed up the narration, as it kept having long pauses in between conversations.
Thoroughly recommend!

Okay..
I love the Maeve Kerrigan books so thought I’d give this a go. The story itself is good with interesting twists and turns, but the main character isn’t at all likeable which can make it hard to really get into the story.
The reader sounds bored and does pretty much the same voice/accent for everyone except the main character. Also listening to email back and forths and police interviews is very repetitive and confusing on an audiobook. If you had a physical book it would be easy to skim those parts but having to listen to the individual email addresses/names/initials being read out constantly is monotonous.
I would recommend this, but in physical book form. Use your audible credit for something else.

Disappointing
Like others I love the Maeve Kerrigan series and had high hopes of this one. Everything about it needed editing IMO and the narration was sometimes dull and lifeless. All the police had ‘you’re nicked son’ accents which grated on me. Constantly I had to go back to check the plot as I thought I had missed something but I hadn’t. It was just characters behaving like nitwits.

Good book
Narration very irritating when exploring the court cases and the conversations between the different parties. Very repetitive .. KC.. IL . Otherwise the story is good,

A thrilling story!
Thanks a lot to the author Jane Casey and the narrator Emily Barber for the huge work they have done to write and read this book!
Concerning the story, it was thrilling and intriguing at the same time! The reason why I read it is that it has been made a series presently filming in Bristol and having Colin Morgan in it! That’s fantastic!

Quite enjoyable
I found this a bit convoluted but it may be how it was narrated. Enjoyable enough but I much prefer the Maeve Kerrigan series.
