About this listen

More than just a mystery!

Carrie, an IT tech for Fairview Resort, is asked by the VP of Security to find a missing college student who worked at the resort. She agrees to help find the girl, but she also leads a group that calls themselves the “Rescue Rangers” who aid victims of domestic violence. Add the new attorney, Drew Martin, to the team and suddenly things get...complicated.

As her search for Gwen narrows, Carrie worries the girl may be in need of help from the Rangers, too. Her search turns out to be just the tip of the iceberg and puts Carrie squarely in the crosshairs of some dangerous people.

Difficult to listen to.

This was difficult to understand the narration and detracted from the enjoyment and I missed the point on many sections. Poor expression and intonation. Probably the worst I’ve had since I joined audible. Shame, the story looked promising.

A Thorough Disappointment

A decent story but why oh why did they let the author and friend narrate it? Very poor production values. The readers repeated sections, coughed and mis-pronounced. Not the standards I've come to expect after many years of buying Audible. If this had been my first book, I'd have cancelled my subscription!

I did enjoy the narration of Zak Price

Carrie is asked to find a missing girl, who is a college student. Carrie thought it would be a routine rescue. It turned out to be anything but.

This listen is part thriller, part love story. It is many levels and is well paced. It does have domestic abuse as part of the story. Which added an extra degree of tension to the suspense
