Summary
Set in a world that is not our own, Legon Awakening takes you through an epic journey into a land full of wonderment, illusion, and innovation.
Legon is a simple young man in the small town of Salmont, a town in the center of the Empire that few know about and even fewer care about. All he wishes to do is to start his own butcher shop and take care of his adopted sister and family. Legon is not from Salmont and echoes from his parents past are coming up to haunt him. Legon finds himself being caught in the war that claimed his biological parents lives and now threatens everything he has. He must flee from everything he knows and journey to land of his ancestors to keep all that he loves safe.

Struggle to the end
At the ripe old age of 70 ,and being an avid reader all of my life, I have now become a massive fan of YA fiction,sci-fi and fantasy. I find it easier to tolerate than reality! l have now listened to a great many audio books of this genre and can honestly say this series is the worse l have come across.
I listened to all of the books as I thought at some points the story showed some promise of developing and improving.Sadly in my opinion this didn’t happen. The story was shallow, predictable and unexciting. The dialogue was dire. The final book seemed rushed and several story themes left undeveloped and unfinished leaving unanswered questions and very loose ends.
However, for me the worst aspect was the narration. The reader was not too bad at the story narrative, but the character voices were simply awful. All characters sounded much the same and were delivered in a variety of really strange accents.Prose intonation was very often inappropriate. At times it made me cringe and other times it made me giggle, which was a positive l suppose!
I am sorry to leave such a negative review but it is my honest opinion
