About this listen
THE ONE THING A LADY MUST NEVER DO....
Wealthy Lady Georgina Maitland doesn't want a husband, though she could use a good steward to run her estates. One look at Harry Pye, and Georgina knows she's not just dealing with a servant, but a man.
IS FALL IN LOVE....
Harry has known many aristocrats - including one particular nobleman who is his sworn enemy. But Harry has never met a beautiful lady so independent, uninhibited, and eager to be in his arms.
WITH HER SERVANT.
Still, it's impossible to conduct a discreet liaison when poisoned sheep, murdered villagers, and an enraged magistrate have the county in an uproar. The locals blame Harry for everything. Soon it's all Georgina can do to keep her head above water and Harry's out of the noose...without missing another night of love.

Well. That was wonderful.
So, first of all... Moira Quick is an excellent narrator, and she has joined my exclusive club of Narrators I Can Tolerate (which is a very limited club). She isn't perfect, but no narrator is. But her accents and voices are excellent. She is an emotional reader which is necessary for me, and the cadence of her dialogue is realistic.
Second, and most imporantly: Elizabeth Hoyt is genuinely a genius writer. She is very far apart from other HR writers. In general there is a craftiness, wit, and originality to her stories and her style that makes her work really refreshing. Her charcters are altogether unique and that is a rare thing to come across in the genre. George and Harry and excellently crafted. Something I really like was that their attraction is never really fleshed out, it just is--which I loved. And I liked that their affection is also very passive, rather than overt or overly flowery--which, again, I loved.
Finally, all I can say is: "My lady." I absolutely adored the fact that he genuinely never calls her by her name. But I will likely never be able to A) hear a nothern accent again without thinking of Harry Pye and B) read or hear 'my lady' without having Harry Pye's voice in my ear.
Once you listen to this book you will understand. It is a very good book, if I have not made this clear. I highly recommend listening to it.

absolutely loved it
Loved every second of it. Loved Harry with his northern accent and the fact that he was lower born than Georgina. Georgina was so strong and also sweet and she knew what she wanted. They had such a lot if chemistry together.
The narrator was really good, she's definitely become one of my top 10 favourites.
This was definitely worth a credit and will definitely be listening to it again.
