Summary
Newfoundland, 1895. Alice and John MacDonald, both running from pasts that were too traumatic to face, meet by chance and stay together in a fragile world that’s rife with lies and secrets. oh I struggle with this book.

Really enjoyed
I wasn’t sure if I would like this book as I was worried it would be very oldy worldy but I actually really enjoyed it. The story was easy to follow and the characters were also very well presented. Narrator was well suited for the characters also.
