My Thoughts on The Lies We Tell
Talk about an epic introduction to a new to me author. Becca Steele did an amazing job with this one. This story had suspense and mystery, some bullying and some of my favorite kind of romance.
Winter and The Four are trying to uncover their parents and there were so many interesting layers uncovered in just this book alone. I loved how it was written in just that way to keep you hooked and glued to the story. And it was all perfectly performed by two fantastic narrators.
Kelli Tager was also new to me but definitely left a good impression. Especially for so many characters. Gregory Salinas I haven't heard much from but I plan to fix that because this performance was so so good.
Now comes the dreaded wait after a major cliffhanger but make no mistake I will be ready and waiting for book two to hit audio.

Yum-o
I'm not sure I can explain why I enjoy enemies to lover stories. Maybe its the angst or chemistry or uncertainty or everything! This book was so good. The narration was spot on.
I recommend The Lies We Tell, and am ready for the next one.

Winter & Caiden
Great start to a long series....so if that's what you like …settle in and get ready.
Winter's life will never be the same, her mother has remarried after her father's death and she not only has to deal with her stepbrother but his bro's too. The Four is what they are referred to as. In Book one we see them fight the good fight of that magnetic pull that they deny, they want each other.
If you like enemies to lovers with mystery and suspense, this series is for you. Oh yes, and there is plenty of steam.
I was given the Audio ARC of this series, narrated by Kelli Tager and Gregory Salinas, two amazing narrators. They were perfect for their roles.

Absolutely brilliant
One of my favourite genres is enemies to lovers romance, add the stepbrother into the mix, then you'll have the delicious cocktail. Becca Steele definitely delivered with The Lies We Tell. After listening to the first few sentences, I was hooked, captivated through the end, and completely satisfied. The storyline is wholly riveting, with mystery, betrayal, lies, secrets, angst, and scorching hot steam. Honestly, it couldn't get any better, my heart flip-flopped with apprehension, and raced with anticipation. Steele has done a remarkable job with the character development, they are multi-faceted, compelling, and entirely authentic. The chemistry between Caiden and Winter is potent, and oh so hot, I couldn't get enough. I can't wait for the rest of The Four series and get to hear to Cassius, Zayde and Weston's stories.
Brilliant performances by Kelli Tager and, Gregory Salinas, literally breathing life into the story. They captured the emotions and intensity found in the pages, and their portrayal of the characters was spot-on. The Lies We Tell is an incredibly written story with outstanding narration, one I'd wholeheartedly recommend.

Enjoyed it so, so much. Got totally sucked in!
Nooooooooooooo. Good grief you can't leave it there!!!! I got so sucked in that that was my gutteral reaction at the end of this book. Ugh. I just. I didn't expect for the characters to pull me in so hard. The way that Kelli Tager and Gregory Salinas narrated the story helped with pulling me in so hard, I forgot I was listening to them, I just concentrated on the story. I neeeeed the next one!!!!

Good Listen
Winter has come to school to find out how her father was killed. She earns four enemies and does not know why. Caiden hates her the most but also wants her and wants no one else to have her. They learn that they are working towards the same thing, to bring her mother down. They start a relationship and the heat between them can not be hidden. Twists and turns and the development of their steamy relationships leave you wanting more.
Good Narration

Great narrators!
I am totally stunned by this book, it was so good! I love love love and want more now! Forbidden romance, a total bully, enemies to lovers with all the sexual tension and angst I love combined in an explosive rollercoaster story. Caiden and Winter's story was perfect, can't wait to see what happens next with Cassius, Zayde, and Weston. Mind blown 5 stars! Kelli Tager and Gregory Salinas did a fantastic job narrating, Gregory British accent and character portraying was spot on, Kelli's voice really did a great job with Winter and her voice changing for other characters, edition and sound was good, definitely a great audiobook option.

I really enjoyed this.
This was a really fast paced, gritty, suspenseful bully romance with quite a few twists and turns to be had. This is the first in a trilogy so you need to prepare accordingly. I really feel hard for one of the side characters (what it do, Zayde) but the main focus of this story was Caiden and his new stepsister Winter. For Caiden it's on sight. He can't stand her, but Winter is intrigued. Because who wouldn't be. But she needs answers. And so do the Four. So an unlikely alliance forms which of course leads to feelings. Good and bad. I think I'm going to enjoy the rest of this series a lot.
