Critic reviews
“Long...adds a lushness to the spreads and injects even more personality into the characters. Both faithful fans and newcomers will enjoy this triumphant ride and eagerly climb aboard for repeat excursions.” (Publishers Weekly)
“Long has enriched this new edition with bountiful illustrations that take their palette and inspiration from the original, but are greatly enhanced by imagination and inventiveness.” (Kirkus Reviews)

Something is amiss here
I was initially thinking that this recording was transferred badly, and that the voice narration was sped up. Because not only is the reading way too fast, the main narrator's voice sounds pretty warped. But while that seems true of the narrator, the other voices seem fine, so, I dunno. Whatever the reason for the issue, I find the narrative speed bothersome, and the narrator's voice distractingly weird. My four and half year old son agrees the voice is odd, but still enjoys the story.

Strange voice
Too animated. This actually scared my child. Don’t buy this one for a bedtime story!

The narrator ruins this classic
Something was off putting about the narration. I read the other reviews who mentioned the speed was too fast, so I slowed it down and it still isn't right. My son and I love the book, but not this audio recording.

Classic. Narration could be better.
This is a classic story and overall my kid loves it. As an adult listener- the narration for the prose is a bit off- wish it were in a more natural voice.

Read much too fast
We love this book, but it was read much too fast for small children (or even us parents!) to listen to.
