About this listen
Nothing up his sleeves. Nothing but murder...
Jason West, hot-shot special agent with the FBI’s Art Crime Team, is at the Wyoming home of Behavioral Analysis Unit Chief Sam Kennedy, who is recuperating from a recent hit-and-run accident, when he’s asked to consult on the theft of a priceless collection of vintage magic posters. But before Jason can say “presto change-o”, the owner of the art collection turns up murdered in a national forest.
When the dead man is revealed to be the Kubla Khanjurer, a much-hated, part-time magician accused of revealing the highly guarded secrets of professional illusionists, it seems clear this is a simple revenge killing - until Jason realizes an earlier suspicious death at the trendy, magic club Top Hat White Rabbit might be part of the same larger and more sinister pattern.

FBI Poster Boys
Beautifully narrated 3rd episode. Enjoyable dramatic escapade, with dark humour, dark subjects, and more romantic interactions enhanced by the superb Kale Williams' vocal characterizations. The story is woven, and interwoven with the continuing themes from the series, then incorporating new issues and events to keep the action popping. The superb banter and dialogue allow our MCs to spar for our enjoyment.
Unlike some MM stories, this is a true romance "thriller", rather than a porn fest in a setting. From reading the other comments, not all seem to appreciate Ms Lanyons skill, seeking something more graphic all round. I loved the Adrien English series, the Fair Game Series and Winter Kill. I dislike short stories so have boycotted some of the novellas (no pun intended).
VERY ENTERTAINING AND ENJOYABLE

Not so good like the others
Ok, how do I start... I'll start saying this book looks like a completely different books from the other two. It's not bad, but not what I was expecting.
First of all, about 50% of the book is about Sam & Jason relationship. There is a stalker, yes, but that's the extend of it. The last 50% is split in 30% art theft and 20% murder give or take. It was disappoint because it didn't have much suspense or that unease mystery feel. Our guys weren't investigating the murder, so when the clues starting appearing, you couldn't connect and the killer wasn't studied or anything, it was a lot of guessing.
I mean, I still love the book with all my heart. The theft and the romance was really good, but the art part of these stories are a little... Boring? I mean, theft and forgery are not exciting like a murder investigation.
Kale Williams doing always did an amazing job here. I didn't have to speed up very much this time, but I think that's because this story has more details and I really needed to pay attention.
This audiobook was given to me in exchange of my honest review.
