interesting
this is Part 1 of the Foreign Affairs: Schumpeter's Heirs article.
having the interview is great, it was interesting, even if it skims a bit over Amazon's history and success with finding the right kind of market fit, at the right time, building a critical mass of users in key areas, the marketing strategy, the failed projects, and the ones used to support others. a business like that is a huge machine with a lot of moving pieces, which we don't get to understand easily, or at all, as customers. even in a quote like -good entrepreneurs tend to be stubborn on the vision but flexible on the details- it's important to note that first you need to have the right vision. overall, still interesting.
