About this listen

One moment can change your life

When Gracie Ashcroft wakes after a crash with severe amnesia, she must choose whether to live a life through other people’s memories or to start a new life all her own.

Discovering her late mother left her an old flower farm, Gracie leaves her fiancé, best friend and the home full of forgotten memories behind, hoping to learn who she is now.

Torn between wishing she could remember and afraid of losing what she now has, Gracie starts to wonder: if you had your time over, would you live the same life twice?

The feel-good and sweeping love story that fans of Harriet Evans, Lucy Dillon and Ruth Hogan will love

Critic reviews

"A warm, hopeful read that reminds you what is important in life. You will not want to put it down until the last page. I loved this novel." (Sally Hepworth, author of The Secrets of Midwives)

"As beautiful as the flowers that proliferate through the novel, The Memories That Make Us is a story about love, second chances, and taking risks." (Natasha Lester, author of Her Mother's Secret)

Beautifully Weaved Together

This is a story about love and second chances.

Engaged couple Gracie and Blake seem to have found what they feel is the perfect relationship. Blake and Gracie are in the middle of a heated argument while Blake is driving then they become involved in a car accident. Their relationship is torn apart because Gracie suffers severe amnesia.

When she wakes up she has no recollection of who her nearest and dearest are. So she leaves all she used to know behind and heads off to stay at her recently deceased Mum’s house, it is also the place she grew up. Her Mother was a dab hand at growing flowers and that seems to be the only things that Gracie seems to remember, so she decides to renovate the flower farm with the help of a mysterious neighbour called Flynn. Then Over the next few months Gracie feels torn between Blake and Flynn then you begin to see how desperate a man can go to to fight for love. There are a few more surprises in store - this is a great read.
