About this listen

Forbidden love never tasted so spicy. Lucas and Briar’s epic romance in one collection containing the complete duet.

Our story begins the same as any ill-fated romance. Two households, two families, two species that should never be together.

These are the recipe for tragic, beautiful love, fated to end in flames.

She is my doom. She is my destiny. Unavoidable, impossible to deny, and painful to ignore.

They call me Bastard Prince, a half-breed unworthy of a true title. But I still have to follow the rules. Serve the Blackthorne vampire bloodline.

A shifter and a vampire are forbidden to be together. The law declares it so. But Briar is mine, and I’ll fight family and constitution to the death in order to keep her.

Loved it

Nice conclusion to Lucas's story with the usual twists you get from this author. Do love the blackthorn series. Would recommend all of them.

Pure Brilliance

If you’ve read the previous books in this series, know this book is a little lighter. Lucas Blackthorne, as shown in those previous books, is a vampire with a heart. He’s torn between his human nature and loyalty to his family. I loved that this duet gave us Lucas’s backstory. That we got to find out about his lost love and what happened there. I adore Lucas and Briar together. There are characters that you will hate—some of which, if you read the prior books, know got what they deserved and that made it all worthwhile. The continuation of Lucas and Briar’s story was everything I wanted and more. It was fun and sexy and intriguing. It had just the right about of suspense about what was happening and why to keep you riveted to the story. There are twists and hurts and everything you need for a captivating romance.

Performed in duet. Shane East and Stella Hunter were pure perfection as Lucas and Briar. It was casting made in heaven. Nobody else could have done these characters justice, I don’t think. Add in the addition of Aaron Shedlock as the voice of Castel, and it was an aural delight. Vampire Shane is something everyone needs in their live…and a vampire with a heart is even better. The way he performed the conflict the character was dealing with was brilliant. And Stella, I just love everything she does. Their voices work incredibly well together and it’s a joy to listen to.
