But Resurrection offers much more - the closing essay, for which the anthology is named, is one of Neville's final and most ambitious works.

Story
In Happy Derren Brown explores changing concepts of happiness - from the surprisingly modern wisdom of the Stoics and Epicureans in classical times right up until today, when the self-help industry has attempted to claim happiness as its own. He shows how many of self-help’s suggested routes to happiness and success – such as positive thinking, self-belief and setting goals – can be disastrous to follow and, indeed, actually cause anxiety. Happy aims to reclaim happiness and to enable us to appreciate the good things in life, in all their transient glory.

Summary
The people who doubted you are in for the shock of their lives
Mitch Horowitz, "a cross between Aleister Crowley and Alan Watts" (Duncan Trussell), delivers this generation's most literate and liberating self-help book in The Miracle Habits.
Mitch shows how to foster a life of revolutionary self-direction through 13 "Miracle Habits" - radical but workable commitments that allow you to "Spend for Power" (Habit 8), "Get Away from Cruel People" (Habit 6), "Rule in Hell" (Habit 13), and produce fortuitous events surpassing all expectation in career, creativity, relationships, charisma, and self-respect.
"This book", Mitch writes, "is about more than cultivating sanctioned notions of success or acceptance. It is not about being 10% happier, 'good enough', or reorganizing your sock drawer. It is about fostering miracles. Not as a once-in-a-lifetime experience but as a recurring and natural part of life".

Excellent book.. Very Interesting.
Excellent book.. Very Interesting.. i took away a lot from this book. I am re reading it again, and using the bits that really talk to me, and i can apply, I am not a believer as such in Magick, or miracles. But when you reframe your goals, The goals that actually speak to you, not externally give to you, or expected, but what you actually really want, the results could be viewed as magick or miracles as these are going to happen more often as the conditions for them to happen now present, your every action makes them reality. You eliminate self sabotage. the Author is also an excellent Narrator. I recommend this book..

The Miracle Club 2.0
Mitch’s book The Miracle Club is one of my favorites; a text a revisit regularly. This new text is a wonderful companion that outlines how to apply intentional action to mind metaphysics. I have already begun to apply some of the Habits outlined in this book. I have always appreciated the depth and intellectual strength of Mitch’s work. I have a hard time listening to the “airy fairy” tonality of most self-help/New Age books. Mitch challenges the reader to think critically while making magic.

Mitch is a great author and narrator...
I have read several of Mitch's previous works and loved them all. This one is good and has some really good gems of information but I would say this isn't his best work. It is more of if you sat down with him and asked him to give you the best tidbits of knowledge he had...which isn't a bad thing necessarily. I thought the organization of it was slightly lacking but the content was good, hence 4/5 stars.

Very beneficial self-help book
Although I personally don't agree with everything Mitch have said (as everyone should have their own opinion), there were points that illuminated parts of my life that I wasn't much aware of.
This book helped me to take the painful but necessary steps to improve my life, cut out the toxic parts, motivated me to take action and restored the belief in myself which I have abandoned and lost...
As a spiritual seeker myself and someone who's into self-help, this book was exactly what I wanted and needed.
Sincerely, Thank you, Mitch. ♥

Not at all what I was expecting
I like and respect Mitch, and I agree with his philosophy. Maybe it’s my fault for blindly buying this book without checking first, but I thought it was going to be about daily principles to implement in order to shift your life in such a way to make miracles happen as a part of life. Things like meditation, visualizations, breathing, different types of exercises. I had read Miracle Club and wanted a book that would summarize all of the technical recommendations he made, which oftentimes seemed scattered throughout the text. I was not expecting a full book on topics such as “make sure you are hygienic and dressed well,” “be careful about things you say on the internet,” “do not gossip,” “save this much money and only spend money on things that will earn you income in the future; pay craftspeople immediately,” etc. I’m not 18–I know these things. I definitely didn’t need to waste a credit and over six hours of my life listening to someone provide common sense information and package it in such a way to make it seem like it is new. Honestly, unless you are just getting started in life or are seriously lost as an adult and do not know how to function, do not buy this book. I beg of you. Use your time on literally anything else. Napoleon Hill’s “Thing and Grow Rich” would be infinitely more beneficial than this dumpster fire. For redeeming qualities, it is written and narrated well. Again, I like Mitch, I just don’t think this book should be considered adult reading. Give it to your 16 year old instead perhaps.
