*The sparkling new novel from the million-copy bestselling author of THE MAID*

‘Utterly delightful' DAILY MAIL

‘Captivates from page one’ JANICE HALLETT

_________________________________________________________________

DO NOT DISTURB. WHODUNNIT IN PROGRESS . . .

Molly Gray wears her Head Maid badge proudly for every shift at the Regency Grand Hotel: plumping pillows, sweeping up secrets, silently restoring rooms to a state of perfection. But the hotel’s reputation is sullied when a guest – a famous mystery writer – drops very dead on the tearoom floor.

As suspicion swirls in the hotel corridors, it’s clear there’s grime lurking beneath the gilt. And Molly knows that she alone holds the key to the mystery. But unlocking it means thinking about the past, about a dusty old house, and everything else she’s tidied away in her memory.

Because Molly knew the dead guest once upon a time – and she knows his secrets too . . .

Loved her first book but can’t get on with this sequel.

Difficult for someone from UK to listen to weird ( I assume supposed to be British ?) accent of Angela. Bad enough ( and story not strong enough) to keep me reading past chapter 8.

Another excellent story!

I love the characters and how the author moves them forward through the story with various twists and turns along the way. Wasn’t so keen on the narrators attempt at an English accent, it seemed to move from one region to another. But I love how the narrator voices the main character in both books. I loved this one as much as the first!

Engrossing from start to finish

Another excellent book from Anita Prose, the storyline was slightly slow to build up but amazing.
Jumping from one era to another with each chapter took a bit of getting used to but once trained to expect it I enjoyed it.
The book filled in on the lovely Molly's background which was and eye opener, won't say any more.
Waiting for another ........

Easy listening.

An unusual mystery, making a lovely change, with the lead character being so appealing. You can’t help but grow very fond of her. More of the same please.

Sequel just as good as Book 1

The characters and world telling are so real, and so well-rounded. Our beloved established characters remain who they are and the introduction of new characters is so welcome. Furthermore, I love how Gran is still an essential part of the story, for she really is important to Molly. I loved seeing how our characters have developed in this story and I’m just thrilled that my favourite book has a sequel. Trilogy maybe?

Also, though I read the first book and listened to the second, the voices are so good I forgot that this was an audiobook I was so immersed, I enjoyed everything about this book.

Edit: THE EPILOGUE!

Molly is oddly unique!

Love how Molly found a mini-me side kick and simultaneously gives loser/bullies another chance. Celebrates the differences in people in an engaging way. Recommend
