About this listen
Three people are kidnapped across California.
Sophie is locked inside a derelict warehouse.
Henry is abandoned in remote woodland.

They are alive, but don’t have much time to live…
Only one man can save them: unique investigator Colter Shaw. He’s an expert tracker with a forensic mind, but this will be a test even for him.
Because this killer isn’t following the rules; he’s changing them. One murder at a time…

First person tracker investigator
Introducing a new character and hopefully series of books. Loved every moment of this book. No drama can unhinge the main character Colter. Dry humour. Up to date story line. Excellent fiction.

Excellent story that has many facets. I’m hooked.
Loved the narration and the story development. Each time you think it’s solved there’s a new twist.

Clever story
I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. I’ve got bored with Lincoln Rhyme, I think Mr Deaver has written himself into a corner there. I liked some of the characters, which is rare these days, and was actually interested in the main story, although it was a bit predictable. The sub-story is really interesting though. Hope there’s not another year to wait until the next one! Really excellent narration as well.

Ok
To be honest it is a while since I have listened to a Jefferey Deaver, and I was interested by the plot. I thought the book went on too long, and about 1/2 way through I was looking forward to the end. Storey seemed very formulaic. While I hadn’t worked out who the killer is, by the end, I didn’t really care.

Very enjoyable
This is only the second Deaver book I’ve read, it won’t be the last. Listened to it in 2 sittings and can’t wait to download the next in the series
