About this listen
Christians have lived in Palestine since the earliest days of the Jesus movement. The Palestinian church predates Islam. Yet Palestinian Christians find themselves marginalized and ostracized. In the heated tensions of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the voices of Palestinian Christians are often unheard and ignored. This remarkable book provides an opportunity to hear the realities of life on the ground from a leading Palestinian pastor and theologian.
Munther Isaac gives the perspective of Palestinian Christians on the other side of the separation wall surrounding most Palestinian West Bank cities today. Isaac laments the injustices suffered by the Palestinian people but holds out hope for a just peace and ways to befriend and love his Jewish and Muslim neighbors. In contrast to the dominant religious and nationalistic ideologies and agendas for the region, he offers a theology of the land and a vision for a shared land that belongs to God, where there are no second-class citizens of any kind.

Challenging, provocative, essential
Thought- and prayer-provoking; passionate and compassionate. Such a challenge to the worldwide church to think and act as Jesus does; should turn all who profess to be Christians to face our neighbour.

A thought provoking listen
I thoroughly enjoyed hearing Pastor Isaac’s viewpoint on this conflict. It is told with compassion and hope amidst patient suffering. It is important to listen to those experiencing issues on the ground, rather than judging from afar.

Everyone must read/listen to this
An incredibly moving account of the history and situation in the Holy Land.
This is a prophetic book in light of recent and current tragic events which have occurred on both sides of ‘the wall’.
Astoundingly accomplished writing by a holy man. Despite being the victim of oppression and racism in his own country, Rev Dr Munther Issac writes words of love and reconciliation for the peoples of the land.
Presenting the teachings of the Old and New Testaments he describes a hope that we should all be inspired to participate in action to achieve.
I will be praying for him, his family and all Palestinians and Israelis, and for a democratic nation in which all peoples of whatever race, creed or religion can live in peace and prosperity.
Shalom, As-salaam 'alykum, Amen.

A call to action against racism and colonialism
This book is not only an illuminating critique of the connection between imperialism, Zionism and white Western Evangelism. The author’s call for resistance through political grass roots action in the face of oppression as opposed to the the passive and useless “thoughts and prayers” position is a radical call for solidarity in action in the age of far-right Christianity and secular knee jerk apologetism for US-imperialism and its Middleeastern bridgehead for geopolitical hegemony. Munther Isaac, who writes from the position of the oppressed and colonialised part in an Apartheid regime, should righteous receive global praise as the ‘Bishop Tutu’ of our time.

Stories matter
This book is a rollercoaster of emotions for those who have a heart for the people of Palestine.
I appreciate the thoughtful storytelling and theology in a situation that’s more than a simple thought experiment.
