A magic wee tale!

Loved this magic short story. Yes, it's short but, it's more of a poem than a tale which is truly lovely. Perfect for a quick walk if you want to lose yourself in another world.
Narrated beautifully, I got a real sense of the Norwegian landscape... and the weather!

A majestic tale of nothing

I was given a free copy of this book and I'm leaving a an honest and voluntary review.

What a fine take of nothing, its enchanting and quite dark ish, the north wind isn't a friend or is it. its very light hearted writing style, its clever and fun, with the possibility of future fables, the possibilities are endless. You can search your whole life for nothing.
The narration is flawless.
A very nice piece. Hopefully there will be more to come. :)

Bring back Tales of old times

Reminds me of my childhood being told little intriguing stories by my grandfather about life. This tale gave me a great sense of nostalgia. Very well performed by the narrator with great expressive tones. Would definitely love a collection of these old worldy tales like this. I will keep an eye out for more from this author and narrator! Would definitely recommend.

be careful what you wish for!

I received a free copy to review honestly.
I'm not sure there are many children who would listen to this and appreciate it nowadays, but it is reminiscent of some of the weird and wonderful stories in old books of collected tales I used to have as a child. I can almost smell the old paper.

Excellent fairytale

This individual, short, old-fashioned tale was quite thought-provoking and the imagery was beautiful. It was perfectly descriptive to allow my mind to draw the fairytale into life. While I have not known what it is to have everything, this fairytale provided some semblance of that as the prince found it to be devoid of worth, and therefore, he searched for nothing. I recommend this audiobook for both the story and the wonderfully chosen narrator.

beautiful, hauntingly hopeful

there's been a little voice whispering at me to leave a review for a while now and I've finally given in and I hope I do this amazing short story justice.

yes this is a short story (it's in the description so no spoilers there), two minutes or there about, and it's absolutely perfect.

it's exactly what it's supposed to be, reminiscent of those haunting little tales that were told round the campfire as a kid, those whispered as they hinted at a bigger, deeper meaning you maybe didn't quite grasp at the time.

the prince is so sad and yet he has had everything he could possibly want and it didn't make him happy, would nothing make him happy?

I think this story ends on hope, hope not necessarily for the answer but hope that there will be chance to find one and I like that.

the construction of this story is perfect, the performance of the story is fantastic. I don't have a bad thing to say about this story.

Like a poem: it's short but stays with you forever

Yes, this listen is short. But The Prince of Nothing is not short in impact. Analogously it can be said, would you rather watch a long bad movie or a short good one? Your answer is this audiobook.
Set in the majestic and scenic Norwegian fjords and fjells, this book delves into the themes of value, of materialistic versus naturalistic value.

The narrator will keep your little ones engaged with the dramatic retelling. But just beware, because they may be begging for a hike in the Norwegian scenery for your next vacation.

Put this on for both you and your little ones, and reward yourself with this treat.
