Festive cheer

Elves with Benefits

I love Jana Aston in general but her Christmas stories are just brilliant. Who else would have the heroine describe the hero as wet sea otter?
Elves with Benefits sees Reindeer Falls holiday enforcement officer Maggie pitting her wits boy city home boy Ryan. Maggie is a transplant to Reindeer Falls, she lives for energy aspect of the town and its Christmas vibes. Ryan on the other hand left as soon as he could and since he returned he's had more than his fair share of tickets from the holiday enforcement officer for his lack of Christmas cheer.
I loved the banter, I loved the Christmas puns, I loved the spice.

One Night with a Nutcracker

Who knew goats, soap and ramshackle farm buildings would make a festive, banter filled Christmas story. Well that would be Jana Aston when she brought Sutton and Jake to life.
Jake Sheppard drives on to Sutton's goat farm in his porsche to find her squatting on the property he's just inherited, with her goats, airstream trailer and soap making business. Let just say he's none too pleased, but not as displeased as Sutton when he evicts her, her goats, the airstream and the soap business.

The Bachelor on the Shelf

When Carter Sheppard's uncle Joe passed away leaving him his dog, Rudy, he’s a little sceptical his brothers were left Joe's house and farm land.
Lexi was Joe's neighbour, local librarian and quirky soul. Lexi loves Rudy, caring for him since Joe passed and isn't best pleased at having to give him to Carter. Lexi doesn't believe Carter will make a very good dog daddy to Rudy.
Pro baseball player Carter doesn't have the best reputation and badly needs to improve that. So obviously a fake engagement to Lexi is the best plan. She plays along, she gets Rudy. Win win?
No one suspected that uncle Joe had a plan. Well I think Rudy knew, he was far to helpful for a dog who knew nothing!
This is a banter filled Christmas treat. Set in the delightfully festive town of Reindeer Falls.

My only issue with this audiobook is that there was no identifier between the stories. It went straight from the final chapter on to tut first of the next. Erin Mallon was a always fab, heart voice for each character are spot on.

Full of festive fun!

Elves With Benefits: Reindeer Falls #4

Elves With Benefits: Reindeer Falls #4 is a laugh out loud, cosy Christmas novella with the warmest of festive feels. Maggie and Ryan are fantastic characters, and with a Christmas cop wielding her violation tickets, festive memories, and the very steamy scenes between them, you’ll definitely want to read their magical story!

One Night With A Nutcracker: Reindeer Falls #5

Jake is the second of the Sheppard brothers to meet his perfect match in this wonderful festive novella. And once again Jana Aston blends the magic of Christmas with quirky characters, madcap humour and a little steam, and delivers yet another joyous addition to the Reindeer Falls series.

One Night With A Nutcracker: Reindeer Falls #6

A Bachelor On The Shelf is the delightful and heartwarming finale of Vol 2 of the Reindeer Falls series. It’s a wonderfully fun, fabulous, and festive novella in which Carter and Lexi find their happily ever after with a little help from the magical spirit of Christmas!

Light easy listen

This was a light easy listen. Lacked some depth as you’d often expect from novella length stories, but it was a nice bit of festive distraction.
