can you really beat the original Tarzan books? All the chest beating and swooning? Thoroughly enjoyed the first 2 books.

Have to be a Tarzan fan

Read the first one in childhood and loved it. Not quite the same in adulthood. The jungle bits were compelling, the bits in “civilisation” less so. You have to be a Tarzan fan to make it worthwhile.
